McGovern's VP having had treatment for depression (which today wouldn't be a big deal)

I'll just never understand Trump's visceral attack on the Khans. That was his moment to talk about how American Muslims are respected citizens and we just want to make sure people like those who killed the Khans' kid don't get in as refugees. That was his moment to pivot to the middle and seek the highground. He didn't have to give up his mythical wall or anything. All he had to do was rise above partisanship and embrace patriotism.

Team Hillary obviously baited the trap for him, and Hillary at best sold access to the SoS for donations to her charity .... but damn. He never recovered from that misstep.

And now, there's a 90% plus chance that 2020 will see Hillary running for reelection against a gop that is still split.

Trump is incapable of not viciously attacking anyone who degrades him in any way. He's so incredibly insecure that his impulses take over any time his ego is hurt.

The Clinton campaign has fully realized this and has taken advantage of it multiple times....Trump is just too much of a moron to realize it.
