Being “fine” and living very well are 2 different things. 60% income tax is ridiculous especially when you add in higher property taxes and financial restrictions already in place for the “rich”.

We had our greatest prosperity when the rich paid over 93% top marginal rate.

But you are white and should easily be able to climb the economic ladder. What is your excuse? People come to this country for the opportunity to make it bi, something much more difficult to do in most other counties in the world who want these ridiculous tax rates.

My excuse? I don't spend my entire life thinking about how to screw people over so I can have more money... I know this is a hard concept for you to understand.

Nobody comes here from Japan or Western Europe anymore, places where the rich pay their fair share and there is wealth equality. They come here from third world countries... which have the kind of oligarchies you guys seem to want.

We(my family) pays a lot of taxes, even though we live in a low tax state. We pay for public schools but don’t send kids to them. We drive on the same roads, use the same fire stations and the same public libraries but pay more for it that those that make less due to property taxes. We have worked hard to get where we are. For those in the 500k range, paying 60% in taxes would prevent buying a nicer home, not buying a second yacht. “Rich” is a relative term. We would be “rich” to you. We would be “poor” to a billionaire.

Again, I'm sure you are very proud of your Double Wide, Cleetus. The rich don't need nicer homes. We need better schools, better roads, better health care for ALL of us, not just the rich having bigger homes or yachts.

Because they have no money to start with. The bottom 40% has less than 1% of the total wealth.... The next 20%, the middle, has only 5% of the wealth. So you can take every last fucking thing the bottom 60 has.. and you'd end up with 6% of the wealth.

MEANWHILE, the top 20% have 87% of the wealth. The top 1% has 43% of the wealth....

We've already established that Supply Side Economics and the Laffer Curve don't work. If you want money to pay for all this government, you have to get it from the rich.

Last year, I made as much money as I needed. I'm free of debt and was able to put away $20,000 on the expectation that Trump would get us into a recession this year. Unfortunately, I was right... and my income is down about 20% from last year. (I expect it to bounce back no matter who wins).

So let's say that we put "Capitalism" and "Socialism" on the ballot. What incentive would the bottom 60% have to vote for "Capitalism", when they only get, collectively 6% of the benefits and are massively in debt to 1%?
