Even if it's a clean sweep, and Republicans end up controlling all three branches of the federal government, our problems will not end...

...because Democrats control almost everything else. And now, Democrats are using that power to censor the internet so that even the one voice we thought we still had will be silenced.

We Republicans need to review how this monopoly of power over everything happened, and start fighting back.

The fact is, we've been complacent, so busy raising our families, doing our jobs, and running our businesses we forgot that freedom isn't free, we have to fight to keep it.

ALL true-----the US is now in a THROW BACK to the 1960s. Acid heads are cult heros-----as are "black panther" criminal types and any excuse to support ANARCHY. I came of age in the 1960s and took LOTS OF SOCIOLOGY courses to flesh out my "liberal arts" requirements. Sociologists EVEN WAY BACK then could not get to be professors if they did not teach the sophist shit of the day or write a dissertation supporting the bullshit du jour

Even if Trump wins and the GOP manages to keep their Senate majority AND take the House too, it will be by a pretty slim majority in both chambers. Which means the Senate democrats will pretty much oppose and obstruct everything they can whether it's good for the rest of us or not. I do not see the GOP abolishing the filibuster even if Trump wants to, their Senate majority is likely to be very slim and all it'll take is one or two repubs to say no and that'll be that. And the chances of the GOP taking control of the House is also somewhat slim, as to be nearly non-existent. So - we'll have Congressional gridlock. It takes 2 to tango, and the democrats do not want to dance with anybody.

The way to take power from the tech companies is to just stop using them. These companies are all beholden to their stockholders. One person doesn't matter but a few hundred thousand makes them take notice. Millions dropping them would force a reckoning.

It's amusing, yet sad that some of you actually believe this a realistic scenario
As long as we allow the population set by the Census...that counts illegals...to determine how many House seats are to be given to each State it's going to be almost impossible for the GOP to take control of the House.

Federal gridlock is a good thing, especially when the courts aren't packed with liberal activists.

Time to break up the dems free ride taxes, over regulating preventing competitors, and to break their almost monopolies up.....................FB, TWITTER, AMAZON, MiCROSOFT could easily be taken down by some simple fair regulation placed on them.

Agree. They control the schools for the most part and popular culture. The power of that cannot be over looked. It is why the Soviet Union tried so hard with its fake news and disinformation. The same goes for the 3rd Reich in Hitlers Germany and other dictatorships around the world. They knew if you teach the party line as fact to school children you will have a controlled population and now with social media all this is magnified. What will be socially acceptable will be what the masters of popular culture are drumming through peoples heads every day.
Against that kind of influence there are no checks or balances as we have in government. The rules of fair play, separation of power, checks and balances will only be seen as a hinderance to the newer generations. We can already see that with people like AOC and her squad.

It's amusing, yet sad that even after 2016 you can't grasp what is coming.

what's coming?

Red wave of the likes no one has ever seen.

democrats think their terrorist attacks over the last 6 month have gone unnoticed - they are wrong.

Look at our reaction to 9/11 - democrats have done mini-9/11's every single night - a prolonged terrorist assault on our homeland.

You could've said the same thing regarding a Trump victory in 2016. Did you?

It's interesting that the right is basing all their hopes on the repeat of that once in a life time fluke in 2016 that left Trump as president. Even with the left being complacent and many not bothering to vote, he had 3 million less supporters than his main competitor. The left is not complacent this time, yet you are still hoping for lightning to strike in the same place.

Much of that possibility will depend upon straight ticket voting .

A great many despised hillary and it was close race , but not nearly as many despise biden and his token choice for vice president .

If the converse occurs and the democrats make a clean sweep , make sure to keep your finger on the button to convert your stock portoliio to cash or guaranteed fixed growth , because it may very well be an ugly correction .

More interesting is how you frame the situation to alleviate your fears of a repeat performance. Telling, actually.
