Rep. Eric Cantor, R-7th, said yesterday that a shot was fired through a window at his campaign office in downtown Richmond.

Meanwhile, in the real world....

The police report said a bullet was fired into the air and struck the window in a downward direction with enough force to break the pane but not penetrate the blinds. Lepley said the bullet landed on the floor about a foot from the window. Cantor occasionally uses the room for meetings, police said.

So that's ok Truth is nearly all the politicians regularly get threats. The Dems are astro-turfing and they are going to get their responses. I'm just waiting to hear all the voicemails of all the nutters from both sides. Then the copy cats can really get to work.

Cantor's office is in downtown Richmond....sad to say, bullets fly down there on a regular basis. He knows this, and IMHO, is trying to use it to his political advantage.

So it's ok with you. Got it. Only bad is someone voting your way is attacked. Until both sides get some civility and basic decency and self-restraint the problems will continue to build.

Have you even listened to Cantor's hypocritical speech about how he believes Dems are using these threats to their advantage? Do you NOT see the hypocrisy here?

So Cantors a hypocrite and the Dems aren't??

Both parties are full of hypocrites.

Jeeze Yank. Tell it like it REALLY is. LOL

Still don't see it?

House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) angrily lashed out at Democratic leaders for their handling of reported threats against members of Congress Thursday, accusing them of "dangerously fanning the flames" by blaming the GOP and confiding that he has also been the recipient of threats.

Concerns about security for members of Congress burst into the spotlight this week after several lawmakers reported death threats or incidents of vandalism directed at them and their offices because of their support for the health-care overhaul legislation. Some Democrats have suggested that Republicans may have encouraged such behavior by acting rowdily during the weekend House debate on the reform bill.
