The St. Augustine High School class of 2022 celebrates more than just their graduation.

A viral tweet posted by a parent of a graduate shows the graduating class of 100 students dancing and rejoicing in the streets outside the church that held their commencement ceremony.

According to Twitter user @Kay_Jeaux, the graduating class has received college acceptances and accumulated over 9 million dollars in scholarships.

“It’s late but I don’t care. The world deserves to see this black boy joy. Congratulations to THE St. Augustine High School class of 2022,” She said. “100% college acceptance. $9.2M in scholarships. Straight out of the 7th ward of New Orleans. Let that make headlines! Dance!”

Job well done.

Congratulations to all.

Makes one wonder who goes to this school. Are these kids Catholic? Are substandard students weeded out? How is the local public school?

Why is this coming from a Seattle newspaper?

Excellent.

Education is valuable.

There's a school in Chicago like this, all black and 100% graduate and get admitted to college.

Usually, one well meaning individual with a lot of dedication and focus spearheads these efforts. We need more teachers and administrators like that. People who really care about the kids.

It is also a private, Catholic, all-boys high school.

Anyway, one of our magnet schools usually is pretty close to 100%. Most years at least a few do the military so it is 100% military or college. It is also a black majority school as are all schools in my city. #WhiteFlightLivesOn

Don't spread that around too much, the left wing dim bulbs on this board might have another one of their rage fits since according to left the US is racist.

We need these feel good stories. Some rich guy in Chicago has formed a charity to send under privelged kids to college and has sent two classes to college and in one situation offered to send parents as well.

Great news for the students... but it's not unusual for private schools. Our oldest daughter's graduating class has a 100% college acceptance rate and nearly half a million dollars in academic scholarships awarded.

Not to rain on the celebration of non-diversity :heehee: but what kind of SAT scores did they get and do the colleges and universities that accepted them have policies to give preferential treatment to non-Whitey and non-Asians like most? And will they be tracked to see if they graduate with degrees in things that are real, not something idiotic like Afro American studies. Thomas Sowell wrote about how destructive affirmative action is in academia because Blacks end up dropping out when enrolled in a competitive institution. :afro:

How many will still be in college in a year? The colleges that graduate the most successful black professionals are the HBCs. They are very picky.

Cat Breath, that is what Thomas Sowell indicated back in the early 90's when extreme preferential treatment for Blacks began in full swing. Blacks who could actually perform at an academic level, obviously very few relatively, generally do fine at institutions like Howard University. Not at Harvard. Back then before the fake ass degrees of today like gender studies. People might recall Micheal Obama's senior thesis at Princeton. It was about how she felt weird being there. :dunno:
