If this country built HST's connecting my city of Hermitage with the other major cities of the region, Erie, Youngstown, Canton, Pittsburgh, Cleveland- I couldn't imagine ever actually riding it.

Just a lot easier to drive than standing on a platform waiting on a locomotive.
