Because I just saw another "how far did you go in school?" post in one of the endless, pointless race relations threads, I was wondering what motivates people to do the 'degree as dick' route. One can only come off as a pretentious douche, but some folks just can't resist anyway. The counterpart to this would be the "that's not a real degree" gambit. Also very douche-y.
