Rich people would and could and even did travel. Then it spread. 50% of County deaths are nursing home camp internees. Then cases and death counts started to mount in zip codes at 30% below the poverty rate--no so much Anglo as Hispanic and Black. Nationwide, famous Pew Research documents that 25% of household units share family residence with one more others. Religious groups do often tend to less affordable breeding habits. Even Anglo groups in the South like to huddle on Sunday mornings, therein to cough and spit on one another.
Physical Distance is not an option. "Social Distance" is actually racist, Jim Crow kind of normative behavior. Hollywood is easily practicing "Social Distancing," even now.
