Doomsday climate predictions no longer plausible!!

A theory is a carefully thought-out explanation for observations of the natural world that has been constructed using the scientific method, and which brings together many facts and hypotheses. --https://www.fieldmuseum.org/blog/what-do-we-mean-theory-science

In everyday use, the word "theory" often means an untested hunch, or a guess without supporting evidence. But for scientists, a theory has nearly the opposite meaning. A theory is a well-substantiated explanation of an aspect of the natural world that can incorporate laws, hypotheses and facts. --https://www.amnh.org/exhibitions/darwin/evolution-today/what-is-a-theory

scientific theory is an explanation of an aspect of the natural world and universe that has been repeatedly tested and corroborated in accordance with the scientific method, using accepted protocols of observation, measurement, and evaluation of results. Where possible, theories are tested under controlled conditions in an experiment.[1][2] In circumstances not amenable to experimental testing, theories are evaluated through principles of abductive reasoning. Established scientific theories have withstood rigorous scrutiny and embody scientific knowledge.[3]

Anyone making comments akin to "it's just theory" or that theories are just guesses is simply admitting that they have no familiarity with basic science.

s0n....the science not mattering :boobies: :boobies::boobies:

In the real world, costs matter.
Progressives don't navigate in the real world.

Green energy is a joke because of one reason: it's waaaaay too fucking expensive:eusa_dance::eusa_dance:

Bloomberg - Are you a robot?

Like every problem, it will cost FAR more to ignore it.

Philosophy is ghey...Old Rocks has said that for 12 years in here....little has changed. Why? Because most people...certainly voters....have waaaaay more pressing concerns then the world ending.

The bomb throwers have been lobbing bombs for years...have moved the ball about 1 yard on the playing field....fAiL. ( solar/wind still laughably low)

In this forum too...what thread is by far the most epic?

Last year $755 billion was invested in wind and solar. You think that's laughably low? Wind and solar were a massive majority of new energy construction and coal and natural gas were a massive majority of plants shut down.

I'd invest in something state subsidized too Crick, which you seem to have issues equating with saving the planet, which it is not

If in fact you wish to promote an industry, go you

But be honest about it, anyone that can do the math knows it's a complete fasade

Subsidies were disappearing before Biden's infrastructure legislation and the instability of subsidies hasn't shown any sign of slowing investment or growth.

Big Wind's Bogus Subsidies

Giving tax credits to the wind energy industry is a waste of time and money.

Excerpt:

Despite being famous for touting the idea that the rich don’t pay their fair share of taxes, investor Warren Buffet seems to be perfectly fine with receiving tax breaks for making investments in Big Wind. "I will do anything that is basically covered by the law to reduce Berkshire's tax rate," Buffet told an audience in Omaha, Nebraska recently. "For example, on wind energy, we get a tax credit if we build a lot of wind farms. That's the only reason to build them. They don't make sense without the tax credit."

You don't think the Ukraine war and the Russian 'embargo' is something of a special circumstance? What is your overriding point here?

Typical day in this forum for me.......highlighting the level of 🤡 thinking in here. You made a point and got pwn'd.

Hey Crick.....btw....lacing them up to sprint out for booster #6? Nobody getting the stabs in 2023.....15% only for the newest stab. Exposed you and Rocks on this 18 months ago...more 🤡 thinking.
