President Xiden's Justice Department warned states on Wednesday that they could face legal action in rolling back COVID-era voting procedures.

"The department's enforcement policy does not consider a jurisdiction’s re-adoption of prior voting laws or procedures to be presumptively lawful; instead, the department will review a jurisdiction’s changes in voting laws or procedures for compliance with all federal laws regarding elections, as the facts and circumstances warrant," reads a document released by DOJ.

It proceeds to outline a long list of statutory protections on voting rights, including those surrounding mail-in voting.

The Smiling Fascisti!

The destruction of states’ rights, local government control, and civic institutions by the fascists in DC continues apace.

And so the big steal part next is upon us.

There is no longer any doubt the Democrats control the DOJ, Intelligence agencies, TV and Social Media. We essentially have One Party control which is just a short step away from full Government Control.
You just recently arrived at this conclusion? Dude that has been apparent for years.

I do not believe the DOJ has the jurisdiction to take any legal action against the states for determining what their election laws are going to be. What Biden and the Democrats are doing here is pure political pandering to the Left: "look, we're doing everything we can to fight those bastard Republicans". They may find a crazy-ass progressive federal judge to rule in their favor, but the Supreme Court will shoot it down.

Straight-up bullying and intimidation.

Fortunately, Karen Fann and the rest of the AZ Senate are having none of it.

They'll find leftist judges to start the ball rolling though.

I wouldn't be surprised, but I'm not seeing the bona fide reasons for any honest judge to support the DOJ. Does anyone have even one solid example of a new state law where statutory protections on voting rights are being violated? IOW, what is the basis for such a lawsuit?

"Such actions by Republicans are clearly made in bad faith in an effort to suppress votes and undermine the right to vote."

This is pure bullshit. Nothing is being advanced that suppresses voting or undermines the right to vote. If someone thinks otherwise, say so and quote chapter and verse: which state and what new law are you talking about.

It's only logical, the pandemic is still going on and data is suggesting it's going to get a lot worse.

Then there's still PLENTY OF TIME for these people to request ballots and provide a government ID to guarantee they are eligible to vote. Also, the ballots themselves should be watermark protected from any kind of counterfeiting, yeah? There should also be built-in mechanisms for post-election audits with pre-approved procedures. Nothing wrong with any of that, right?

Restrictive voting rights laws many republican-led states have enacted for no apparent reason ( no voter fraud evidence ) suggests it was done to prevent certain groups of people from voting. Voter suppression to put it plainly. Plus when the y enacted these laws there was no funding to support those who might be disenfranchised. To take someone's right to vote away is a serious crime.

This total bullshit. Requiring an ID to vote is not restrictive.

Those laws were enacted to secure our election processes. Plenty of people have serious doubts about the validity of the 2020 election, and that right there is reason enough to make sure fraud is eliminated or at least reduced.

To say there is no evidence of voter fraud is ridiculous.

The new laws do not prevent anyone from voting.

Voter suppression is a bullshit canard by the democrats.

Nobody has been disenfranchised. The opportunity to vote has not been infringed.

Nobody's right to vote has been away. That is total bullshit.

The big steal is what the Republicans are doing, trying to disenfranchise millions of voters.

Why pass unneeded laws then ? The facts prove there was no voter fraud.

It all depends if they can prove the people will be disenfranchised, then that would be a federal crime.
