It has just passed the highest previous Death Rate ever of 1918 - the last year of WWl and the year the Spanish Flu epidemic hit Britain. Even these two catastrophes combined have now been overtaken by covid deaths. If you cut out the number of Covid 19 deaths 127,000. It takes the figures down to 473,000 to an average figure we had in the mid 1920's 30's.
