The answer is clearly YES but to what extent is the real question.

It's 2015...............If you haven't noticed that politicians are puppets for the donors that pay them enough to win the election, you need to keep up.

This is a fact no one can debate. The ONLY debate here is where the line of corruption is drawn.
 
The Military Industrial Complex recently started donating to both parties instead of just one. It worked for a while. Watching some Americans that wanted war against other Countries in the last few years and not mentioning it today says a lot.

The answer is No. This has been documented. Of course you have it backwards. Candidates stand for certain things and interested donors support them. Research found that even when candidates announced they were retiring they tended to support the same policies and programs they always had.
