"A former Georgia prosecutor who handled the case of Ahmaud Arbery, a Black man who was gunned down while out jogging, was indicted on Thursday for using her position to shield the two accused men from being charged. Former district attorney Jackie Johnson was charged with misconduct on a felony count for violating her oath of office and hindering a law enforcement officer. Ms Johnson’s indictment followed a probe by Georgia’s attorney general Chris Carr, the report found she showed “favour and affection” toward one of the accused in the investigation, who had worked in her office till 2019, she was also indicted for interfering with police officers at the scene, by issuing orders against the arrest of the man who shot down Arbery."

I don't think this woman should be attacked like this by her her fellow law enforcement officers just because she was trying to do the right thing. The guy who was killed was a bad guy anyway; so who cares if she was trying to help cover it up...she was friends with one of the defendants and felt he didn't deserve to get in trouble for something like this. Now the so-called "woke left" and all of their CRT crap are going to try to claim this is an example of structural bias in the judicial system; blah blah blah....So that is why the Attorney General bowed down to pressure and carried out this horrible investigation into one of their own....All of this was done to make an example out of her; just to please the cancel culture Anitfa, BLM-Soros-Chinese communist woke mob.

If you "gun-down" any jogger, person sitting on a porch, walking a dog, sleeping in bed, drug dealer or, mobster, you have committed murder....period. There is no law that says: "You are guilty of murder UNLESS the person you murder is a criminal or hated." Also, if you are a prosecutor and are a friend (or closer) to the person being prosecuted, you must recuse yourself from the case, no matter how you feel about the person.

The guy who was killed was a petty thief, at worst.

Gregory and Travis McMichael hunted him down and murdered him, and the DA tried to sweep that under the rug...

I second all that you say here. If a person is not attacking another person and they are killed, it will be labeled a murder. Also if the lawyers, jurors, or judge is personally connected to the defendant(s) in any way, they should replaced with someone who isn't related so that personal feelings do not influence whatever decisions are made. They may need to be replaced if they are connected in any way to any victims as well.

God bless you always!!!

Well..we know YOU don't--and your ilk is well represented here. But out in the real world...a lot people do care....and, as more and more people find themselves in a cell, people might change their minds..or, at least, STFU about it. Best we can hope for..that idiots with guns might have a brain fart....and NOT chase down and murder someone.

Biff, you know a prosecutor can indict a fucking ham sandwich, right?

Thank goodness we have AGs like the one in GA willing to prosecute folks like this. We need more like him

The problem is the DA didn’t do the right thing. Not according to the laws of Georgia.
