New Haven, CT actually was the Seattle of music in the 90's. Of course no record deals since that would conflict with the payola deals with chosen acts.

 
Here is another classic that was suppressed by the fake ass music business, which back then required a "record contract."



Toad's Place in New Haven right next to Yale, was like the equivalent of the Whiskey or Troubadour in LA.
 
This is Kinetic Sect that evolved into Tinderbox that evolved into Low that evolved into Gravityhead. Several members were there the whole time. The vocalist obviously. In the late 80's a friend working as a busboy or whatever at a local restaurant Clam Box? in Westport and said there is a guy who is an amazing singer working as a dishwasher or whatever and they are playing the Levitt Pavilion. I still have the 45 promo disc they were selling. They got signed by a Madonna company but were dropped. The vocalist has since passed.
