I've seen threads defending China response to COVID-19, and how they handled the crisis from very beginning.

I'm posting a series of articles that points to Chinese responsibility for this outbreak.

No food safety or sanitary practices - China has made eating wild animals illegal after the coronavirus outbreak.
They were forewarned - Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus as an Agent of Emerging and Reemerging Infection
No freedom of speech or press, no human rights - Chinese Government Poses Global Threat to Human Rights
Suppression of SARS-CoV information - China Admits Underreporting Its SARS Cases
More negligence - Why the dictatorship makes a deadly virus even worse

Genome sequencing in 3 days - CCP ordered results to be destroyed
Throughout January, authorities treated it as a hoax - A Chinese doctor was one of the first to warn about coronavirus. He got detained — and infected
Massive control of speech over the Internet - How Censorship in China Allows Government Criticism but Silences Collective Expression
CCP monitors allowed apps and bans everything they can't control - Websites blocked in mainland China

Bottom line: no freedom to talk about this - China Clamps Down on Coronavirus Coverage as Cases Surge
Li's family concerned - This Chinese doctor tried to save lives, but was silenced. Now he has coronavirus
Wang Guangbao admission - Early missteps and state secrecy in China probably allowed the coronavirus to spread farther and faster
Chinese journalists Fang Bin and Chen Qiushi disappeared - Coronavirus: Why have two reporters in Wuhan disappeared?
China only decreed emergency on January 20th - 2020 Hubei lockdowns
China did nothing to fight wet markets for two months after the outbreak - As China Cracks Down on Coronavirus Coverage, Journalists Fight Back
President Xi knew it for two weeks but kept silent - Speech at the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the People's Republic of China
CCP organized two conferences in Wuhan during the outbreak - Did Xi Jinping know about the coronavirus outbreak earlier than first suggested?
Chinese government only admitted problems in February - Coronavirus: China admits 'shortcomings and deficiencies'
No transparency even after all that - WHO: China not sharing data on coronavirus infections among health-care workers

How could anyone defend what China did?

I picked "not sure" ... nothing leaves China without commie government approval ... what China did or didn't do will forever remain a mystery ...

Fucked up badly...if it wasn't for the chinks, no one would be sick

why do you rely on government to do anything??

Let the free markets deal with China -- i am sure they will deal with them far more harshly than relying on government

Free market encouraged by the government did caused our dependency on Chinese, especially in pharmaceutical and manufacturing fields.

I hope this will be a lesson that will force us to change something to end that dependency.

Like state-run news out of China is reliable! :auiqs.jpg:

Who wants to buy a toll bridge that spans the Hudson river? You could make millions!

These are China Communist Party instructions and English translation of it, on how to win the "information war on internet", which is vital to its very existence. Western world & any one reading things on internet should definitely take a look, especially now, when we are batting the Wuhan virus.

It's like reading "Rules for Radicals".

What Didn’t Happen

Consider the possible alternatives.

When the virus broke out, the CCP could have immediately given open access to the United States and other countries with advanced healthcare systems in the hopes of trying to save lives both in China and those countries around the world that would inevitably be exposed to the virus. Open access would have been a signal to the world that China was a responsible global actor concerned about both the welfare of its own people and those of the world. Such action would have clearly communicated that our shared prosperity and well-being would require a global response.
Without putting too fine a point on it, China seems to have taken the position that if they were to suffer the coronavirus, so too was the United States and the rest of the world. What else is to explain the continuation of flights from China to the United States at the rate of some 20,000 passengers a day, until President Trump wisely shut them down? The Chinese Communist Party v America

Let's see.
Cause an outbreak.
Crate a worldwide panic shutting down the entire Capitalist world.
Get the liberal media to push the communist party propaganda that blames America and Trump.
Sell ten times more cheap China products at Wal-mart during shopping panic.

China wins.

Trump made them do it!

If you believe one moment that I actually believe what I just wrote about Trump, well I am just mocking those that believe China Government is innocent in all this!

China wins.

Or, cut off China from our supply chains in manufacturing, technology and medicine, and move it back to US.

We'll have much more reliable and superior products on our own, and let them compete with us worldwide. Yes, the'll be competitive in short term, but on long term they will lose.

And though China officially gives a count of a little over 3000 deaths, other sources estimate that as many as 42,000 people died there instead, based on the amount of cremations and urns ordered by the Chicom government.

42,000 deaths and that does not count collateral damage of those allowed to die in other localess while the Chicoms desperately treated this thing.

Any business who does business in the US but does manufacturing in China should have a major tariff applied to their product. If they move their manufacturing to an actual US ally then the tariff is removed. If they move their manufacturing to the US, the tariff is lifted and a tax break is applied.
Then use every allied intel source available to watch and isolate China until they break.

Remember, only around hundred people died on Tienanmen square.

They're spreading propaganda and our left is swallowing every bit of it.

They created Wu Mao Army is transmitting their propaganda all over the world and finding their audience in left leaning outlets.

For instance, our leftist media called it first "Wuhan Chinese virus", but today left seem deeply agitated by it, and taking Chinese side. They go so far to call president a racist for using the same term they used just weeks before. This charge from the left is neither new or interesting anymore, it’s followed the president around since his escalator ride in 2015. So when the mass media and social media left rallied around this marquee to challenge the administration’s insistence that COVID-19, which originated in Wuhan, China, was Chinese, most of us the right just rolled our eyes thinking "what else is new?"

To the administration, the issue is clear: China must be held into account for the pandemic that’s currently destabilizing the global markets and causing needless deaths, had they only been transparent about the outbreak and contained it. There are only two options you can chose from, be for it or against it. With an intensity that extends beyond TDS, social justice thought leaders continue to defend a line that exposes an unbroken and downright dangerous line of transmission from the CCP to media, both mass and social. Coronavirus is not the only thing that comes from China... their poisonous talking points do too. Our left and their media are already infected by it.

China screwed the pooch and now is pivoting to try to turn this into a PR campaign for themselves.

If anything this entire thing has exposed how truly insane Xi and his bunch really are....

Chinese are promoting the idea that Americans are source of initial Wuhan outbreak and they're all over social media with it.

Lijian Zhao Foreign Ministry spokesman. His Twitter.

He tweeted out that it was the United States military that brought the disease to China. As you can see, he republished the March 11th congressional hearing of Robert Redfield, director of the CDC, who said some influenza deaths in the U.S. were later identified as cases of COVID-19. However in the clip, Redfield doesn’t mention when those people died or over what time period, but Zhao used his remarks to claim that the coronavirus did not originate in Wuhan. He, of course, offered no evidence to substantiate the claim.

Right after his tweet, the conspiracy theory was republished by Chinese state media, including in the nationally broadcasted CCTV and in the Global Times. Few days later, China Xinhua News tweet aimed at US “Racism is not the right tool to cover your own incompetence.”

China is trying to blame us, and while they blocked the export of medical supplies, they're playing good guys by "donating" those same supplies around the world.
