I am not alone, it's estimated that 10 to 15 million Republicans have left the party since Trump was elected. Making you the minut minority party in this country today. Independents are now the largest voting block, Democrats now have a 20 million edge over Republicans and you come in lagging in 3rd place. This should have been obvious to you after the midterm results. Democrats were winning in Republican strongholds all over this country.

Geeze, Oreo, I don't know what to say. I've been on political boards for 23 years now, and this one since 2012, and I'm glad you found comfort in becoming an Independent since you've come to think of the sitting president in terms of taboo language. I do not share your hatred, because I can instantly tell a lie from a press member who tries to recruit people to leftism by character assassination with embellishment of facts, which is abhorrent to me but is rule-of-thumb for some of the leftists here and elsewhere. I'm not sure how many posts I had as Freedombecki, but I really had a few years tied up with family health and death issues that took all my time for the last few years, and I just got back a few short months ago. I lost a brother, sister, husband, and a nephew in just a very short time, and it was pretty rough, considering I was too ill to go to two of the funerals to comfort loved ones and get closure by going. I'm better now, which is why I came back here.

There are things about the President I'm not too crazy about, too, but as a person who owns a business for over 30 years, I see people separated from faults but not their contributions to keeping the business going that increases employment opportunities for women in a very small town but requires strong math skills, concentration, courtesy to the public, human kindness, and an appreciation of what our clients do. It's a pretty specific set of qualifications that have to be met, and that's what President Trump has been trying to do in a new situation as POTUS. In his job I look at his ability to provide for the common defense, not who he slept with 5-25 years ago, because that is why I supported him in the first place. He has impeccably followed that practice of doing the best he can to provide you and me with a common defense, and he uses his business skills and savvy to accomplish that purpose.

So the reason I continue to support him has only to do with what I expect him to do, not extraneous factors that Democrats have quite frankly run into the sagebrush and beaten every dead horse that gets in their way. I've seen some bad stuff, but not this bad, and it all seems to be directed at converting a Constitutional nation dedicated to liberty into a socialist republic like the old USSR that rules by fear and intolerance, not by acceptance of differences and resolving issues over a table of negotiations.

That's enough for now. I'm proud of President Trump for the positive things he does, which is to cut through all the crap that's flung at him, look at the facts, and only the facts, and made pretty astute decisions based only on the facts. This really pisses off the barracudas of the leftist lockstep press who is known for their close relationship with far leftists' politics, and I don't share this modern press's myopic vision of converting free nation into one as enslaved unhappily to a nation that demands total cooperation and has nothing but tar and feathers for the business enterprise part of America that funds labor and private sector jobs alike in a fair way.
