Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida rolled out a series of proposals on Thursday that would impose major restrictions on career and educational opportunities for undocumented immigrants in the state.

The governor wants state legislators to repeal a state law that allows children of undocumented immigrants to get in-state college tuition rates. The sweeping changes would also ban localities from issuing IDs to undocumented immigrants, increase criminal penalties for human smuggling, and require all employers to use e-verify — a system that checks prospective workers' residency status.

Pretty tough to do when Dementia ordered ICE to stop workplace raids. Making it even tougher are these Democrat states that give them drivers licenses to get to those jobs they're not supposed to have. And let's not forget the Democrat Mayors who warn illegals when ICE does target their city for those workplace raids.

People come here for a lot of reasons other than to get jobs. To the chagrin of Democrats, we are still a country of innocent until proven guilty. In order to prove an employer is guilty, the state must first prove they knew they were hiring illegals in the first place.

The solution is to get rid of liberals in power.

The presumptive reason why Biden has opened the southern border (and the northern border, as it turns out), is because the U.S. needs an influx of willing workers because we are not reproducing enough - not enough Catholics and Hispanics, I suppose.

The RATIONAL solution to this might be to enhance our "guest worker" provisions, but as it pertains to those already here, it is too late for that. But maybe those provisions could be applied retroactively. Have employers identify the illegals that they are hiring, and give them temporary protected status, with that employer as a quasi-sponsor. Unless the workers can demonstrate that they are legally entitled to refugee status, they will be induced to go back home within a fixed period of time.

Employers hiring these people "under the table" will be shot.

Desantis didn't send illegals from Florida anywhere. He sent people seeking asylum from Texas. Desantis isn't going to harm Florida businesses by actually sending illegals out of Florida.
