Only one party is doing that - the Republican Party is the party who refuses to raise the minimum wage, and keeps cutting taxes for the rich - leading to economic crashes and impoverishing millions of workers.

Democrats keep trying to institute programs to help all citizens - like universal health care, and Republicans fight them every step of the way.

Clinton took the Democratic Party 50 paces to the right to win election in 1992, but he still raised the minimum wage, raised taxes, and tried to pass health care reform.

Obama was completely handcuffed by the McConnell "do nothing" Senate and their refusal to pass anything that would give Obama "something to run on". So much for the good of the country. Obama did manage to get the ACA passed, and he passed some reforms of the banking and finance industry, but Trump undid those quickly, once again putting the nation on the path to yet another economic crash.

"Running the City" involves taking out the garbage, keeping the streets clean, the schools open, managing public transit, the police and fire services, keeping the clean water running, and the potholes filled - all under the tax base budget.

What cities can't do is influence the economy, trade, income taxes, labor law, or do much to attract businesses, except cut their taxes to relocate, and burden the local citizens with the costs. Cities have lost their business taxes due to "cratering", as shopping centres open just outside the town limits for lower taxes in the outlying municipalities.
Disagree with you completely, both parties are corrupt, both are ran by billionaires and both use each other to get the public's focus of the two parties and on to other issues while they use their power to spend more money and exert more control.

Ignorant bimbo from Canaduh, trying to tell us Americans how to run our country.

Both parties are criminal gangs equally responsible.

Believing otherwise is fantasy.

If I were you and felt that way I would never vote again

That is dumb, I will continue to look and find the best candidates and if that candidate is third party, then I will vote for them. I want change, not to give up. Hopefully other voters will wake up as well and vote for change and not the same two parties that are runn8ng this country into the ground.

Only ONE party has refused to raise the minimum for 40 years.

One ONE party has crashed the economy 3 times in the past 40 years - all to the benefit of the wealthiest Americans, impoverishing millions at the bottom.

One ONE party has refused to give workers any protections or benefits, and off-loaded programs for the poor onto the middle class.

  • As many as 1 in 5 troops in the 6,500-strong “operational force” who have been sent to the border have reported problems with their pay, including being paid late, too little or not at all for months.
  • Service members say they have struggled with shortages of critical equipment, including cold weather gear, medical equipment and plates for their ballistic vests.
  • Many are living in cramped trailers with dozens of troops.
  • Some say they feel underutilized and rarely see migrants while working isolated observation posts that in some cases lacked portable toilets for months.
Interviews with 33 verified current and five former Texas National Guard troops and documents obtained by Army Times and The Texas Tribune show that these problems were predictable — some of them also happened during the Guard’s 2017 response to Hurricane Harvey.

But Abbott’s haste in rolling out the deployment made similar problems inevitable. The active and former soldiers say that Abbott’s order left Guard officials scrambling to execute a mobilization that would have normally taken several months to adequately plan.

If we had known from day one that the goal was [10,000 troops], we could’ve planned,” said one soldier directly familiar with the operation’s mobilization process. “We pride ourselves on … the number of [federal] deployments Texas supports. But this? This is not something to be proud of.”

A National Guard general from another state added, “There’s no conceivable way that could have gone smoothly. There’s no way.”

The general, like the other currently serving troops who spoke with Army Times and the Tribune, requested anonymity because they were not authorized to speak with the media about Operation Lone Star. Most said they feared retaliation.

Hey Abbott, are they your troops or cable tv pundits? Looks like the troops don’t think you’re much of a leader. But hey, that orange asshole you’ve had your tongue up wasn’t a leader either, so you two have that in common.
LOL. At first I thought you were talking about Democrat's policies on the border.

And only one party has taken away abortion rights for women

One party refuses to enact sensible gun laws

One party refuses to do anything about climate change

Only one party is now threatening gay rights

There are clear differences in the parties

There sure is.

One party supports the cold-blooded murder of innocent children.

One party supports depriving law-abiding human beings of the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

One party supports a huge scam based on destroying basic freedoms, and economy, over blatantly false fearmongering about the climate.

One side supports depraved sexual perverts, even as they now openly go after children.

And one party thinks that it has some sort of moral high ground on which to stand, by supporting the aforementioned evils and madness.

By your logic, Biden is responsible for the economic downturn, which he is not and only a simpleton would blame one party for the economy, which they have very little control of.

Funny how any member of the Armed Forces regardless of rank is immediately dismissed if he/she relates even the slightest criticism of the Biden administration. We've seen it a dozen times and the latest was a retired Army General who said something about the 1st lady. The same rule doesn't seem to apply to Blue State Governors when the media quotes anonymous sources critical of the administration.
