Description of the Democrats' "participation" in the final Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on ACB's confirmation:
"Instead of showing up, they planted behind their microphones large-sized photos of children who they claimed would be in danger were the Supreme Court to overturn Obamacare next month. This was part of their strategy to turn the hearings into a messaging event about the issue of preexisting conditions."
So let's think about this for a moment. The candidate/nominee is being examined about whether she would be a suitable justice on the U.S. Supreme Court. In that position, she vows to apply the law and Constitution to the cases presented to the Court.
By these childish displays, the Democrats on that committee are, in effect, pleading with her to IGNORE the Constitution and the existing LAW in a coming deliberation, and instead consider the efficacy of the policy that the law seeks to enact. In other words, they are begging her to act as a LEGISLATOR, or a POLICY MAKER, rather than as a judge/justice. In effect, IGNORE whether or not the law contravenes the Constitution, and uphold it because it achieves some policy goal.
Democrats are evil. How can Lefties ignore it? How can they fail to see it?
