A liberal dark money group bankrolled by a Swiss foreign national is spending big on lobbying in favor of Democrats' election overhauls, including H.R. 1, filings show.

The Sixteen Thirty Fund, a fiscal sponsor and clearinghouse for dozens of left-wing groups and projects, has poured nearly $2 million into the efforts to sway senators on issues ranging from H.R.1 to D.C. statehood to the Voting Rights Act Amendment.

What interest do you think the foreign national might have in US elections?

Since that would not be legal without all the right wingers who worked so hard to make those donations legal, you should put that into the "promises made- promises kept" list. You should be proud

I have no idea. I'm still a liberal. I asked a question that neither of you apparently have the capacity to answer.

Tell us again who funds the Federalist Society? It appears that whoever is funding this endeavour is at least honest about it.

Why did the Federalist Society spent $17 million promoting Amy Coney Barrett? Who donated that money?

And, to reflect the urgency of this moment, House and Senate leaders have designated the For the People Act as H.R. 1 / S. 1 — a first priority for the new Congress. We have a real chance to get this bill on President Biden’s desk for his signature — and if we do so, it would absolutely transform our democracy for the better.

The U.S. Senate’s first piece of legislation in 2021 will be a sweeping good-government bill called the For The People Act, and it's a huge deal: This bill is the most comprehensive anti-corruption reform since Watergate, and we have a real chance to get it passed — if enough of us join the fight.
