Democrats Attacked Bush For Mold And Peeling Paint......But Biden Left Hundreds Of Families Behind In Afghanstan...Where's The Outrage?

All they needed was 2500 to run the air base. They would act in support for the Afghan Army and do flight missions and drone strikes from Bagram Air Base.....but Biden pulled everyone from Bagram without telling the Afghan government in June.....essentially scrapping the agreement that Trump made with them. The primary advantage they had was their air assets....and Biden ended that advantage.

2500 regular troops was all that was left for the incoming president. The Generals testified there was no plan for the complete evacuation either. While Trump was still president the Taliban only met one of the conditions set out in the surrender agreement. While the US and our allied met all of ours. Yet he still reduced our number of troops to less than a third of what was agreed to. The Afghan Army and Government felt betrayed by Trump since all the support contractors who kept their military machine running were leaving as per the surrender agreement, and we forced them to release 5,000 Taliban fighters for 1,000 Afghan Army regs.

So he fucked over the US military, the Afghan military and the Afghan government.

Say, man. How much longer are you going to try to blame Trump for Biden's fuckups?

Just wondering. You know you only have three more years, then 2016 start all over again.
What did Biden have to do with Trumps Surrender agreement and the fact the Trump, in an apparent hissy fit, ordered the complete withdrawal by Jan 15th, and then flip-flopped when the Generals objected, leaving not 8600 as per his surrender agreement, but the minimal number needed to support ongoing operations, 2500?

He was proud of how he fucked us over, he bragged about it.

What is the truth here?
Well....my understanding is Trump was going to leave enough people behind to keep Bagram Air Base in operation.
What was the purpose of leaving the air base running?
Because they were flying drones out of there as well as other air assets....and they had several thousand Taliban and ISIS members in prison there.
That also meant leaving contractors behind to fix and repair the facilities.
Biden decides to just up and leave the base without getting all of the military equipment out first.
He told us that they had 300,000 Afghan troops that would prevent the Taliban from taking over.
Turns out he was full of crap.
So you blame everything on Trump and nothing on Biden.
And it's strange they talked about Trump releasing 5000 Taliban fighters after Biden released 5000 Taliban and ISIS members in July. Weird, huh?
Turns out the people that attacked Kabul airfield and killed 13 sailors and Marines were the guys Biden let loose.
But you don't blame him because you claim Trump made him do it.

Biden is president. He can change anything he wants to...including the Keystone Pipeline and gutting the fossil-fuel industry.

"Their plan called for the military to draw down to zero within 60 days of Biden’s official order, or roughly mid- to late-June — far sooner than the Sept. 11 deadline the president originally set. One of the most crucial decisions involved handing over Bagram Air Base to the Afghans as the last step of the withdrawal once U.S. forces were so depleted that they could no longer reasonably secure what had been the hub of the American military effort there for the past 20 years."

“All of them made the same argument,” said one defense official, who was in attendance at the drill on May 8, and whose account includes previously unreported details. “Speed equals safety,” the person said, referring to the message conveyed by the military leaders.

The military brass had done a remarkable 180. For the first four months of 2021, as the White House reviewed the withdrawal timeline inherited from the Trump administration, Austin and Milley, as well as senior military commanders, urged Biden to leave a few thousand troops in Afghanistan indefinitely. Both were overruled. Once that happened, the Pentagon embraced as quick a withdrawal as possible, including from Bagram. And the Pentagon stuck to that approach through the beginning of July, regardless of the conditions on the ground.

At every stage of the withdrawal, the White House went along with the Pentagon’s recommendations, accepting a timetable that ended up going faster than Biden laid out in the spring. When the Taliban started to sweep through northern Afghanistan in the summer, different plans were discussed but never altered. The priority for the Pentagon was to protect U.S. troops and pull them out, even as diplomats and Afghan allies stayed behind."

So you blame everything on Trump and nothing on Biden.

Imo the order of blame for our failed 20 year exercise in nation building is Bush, Obama, Trump and Biden.

The reason for the FUBAR ending was the Afghan Army quit. EWho's fault was that? Everything they did after that was improvised to get as many out as possible.

gutting the fossil-fuel industry.
LOL. The industry (US) cut 30% of it's production because of the pandemic in 2020. They've gained back about half that and unless we have another superfeeze in Texas, those numbers should increase throughout 2022. But US producers don't set world oil prices.

Biden never halted any project or slowed production down in any way nor has he shut down any active pipeline.

Biden quit on the Afghan Army. So the Afghan Army quit....period.
Biden didn't have to pull out the way he did.
You can't blame Trump for the actions of Joe Biden.
Every president is responsible for his own actions.
Biden could have renegotiated the agreements but chose to leave Bagram in the dead of night without notifying the Afghans.
Instead he negotiated security around Kabul Airport with the Taliban.
Stop blaming Trump for what Biden chose to do on his own.

They were left out of the surrender negotiations
Biden didn't have to pull out the way he did.
He could have disapproved of the Pentagons plan, sure. Why wasn't there already a plan?

I blame Joe for not getting our troop back in combat with the Taliban. that's all on him. I blame him for keeping our troops there long enough to get hit by another terrorist attack.
Biden could have renegotiated the agreements

Sure he kouda tore the whole thing up and kept us there forever like the Generals really wanted, but I'm still glad he didn't.

I'm not sure his results are worth the total pull-out.
Now we have zero intelligence capability in the entire region.
Afghanistan gave us a way to keep an eye on Iran and Pakistan.
But thanks to people like Obama, Biden, and Jimmy Carter, who specialize in selling the farm to our enemies,....we have nothing to show for 20 years of military deployments......and Iran is driving around in the up-armored vehicles you folks on the left demanded Bush provide our troops with.

This is the deal that I learned when I was in the military.
It's difficult to bullshit your way thru your job.
You have to know what you're doing or you'll end up getting people killed.

Biden fucked the Afghan government by negotiating with the Taliban to provide security around Kabul.
And when he got out of Bagram....he sent a message to the Afghans that he was totally abandoning them.
It's no wonder they dropped everything and ran.
I'm sure his generals told him that, but he didn't give a shit.
He didn't want to have to deal with the problem.
