To many of us, the Democrats’ purpose was clear: to depress the economy and blame the consequences on the president. This became the incessant theme of their political utterances and ads.

It is clear you didn't read the article, because most of the problems are the lack of democratic leadership in dealing with the flood of lawlessness going on around them.

Some of the same democrat leaders were arresting people for wanting to be on a beach, but hold back dealing with violent looting and arson.

The flood of lawlessness was created by the political machine which has decided that certain people have no value to them and must be eliminated, the cops are the attack wing of this ideology that was created by the Repubs and Dems over the last seventy years.. This is a top to bottom occurrence not a horizontal problem.
