So......................if kids need to go to school to be "smart" and learn things, what does that say about people who home school their kids? Are home schooled kids stupider than those who go to public school?

Stupider? Are you public school educated by chance? So you didn't or couldn't read the article, eh? If you had you would know it specifically mentions the failure of public school parents to be involved in the education of their kids. They don't get more involved than homeschool parents.

Not necessarily since homeschool comes with an online tutor.

Read the article … the Gov wants the schools reopened because 30% of Connecticut students did not even log on after he shuttered the public schools.

Sheesh … this isn't brain surgery, guys. The Dem Gov says virtual learning does not work.

It must my kid did just fine but it will be nice that he goes back to school so I can have wild parties in the house. I used to homeschool but he wanted to go to public school...either way I don't care as long as they get good grades and go to college.

30 percent of the students didn't log on, so that is justification for putting people in danger? Got news for you, probably that same percentage of students probably cut class a few times.

BTW, if they can track you on the internet, shouldn't they be able to determine who is and isn't logging on? If so, they should talk to the parents of the students not logging in and ask why.

Yeah … just make shit up like a good little leftard. The Governor is a Democrat who is forced to face the fact that Dem handling of Chinavirus has been a disaster in their states.

Governor Ned Lamont (D, Connecticut) admits virtual learning doesn't work … wants the real thing.

After Lamont closed public school doors for classroom instruction in mid-March and eventually extended the closures for the rest of the school year, the state found 143,000 students didn't log on for remote learning.

"It's a tragedy," he said of the children who failed to sign on.
Another welfare state so it don't matter if they have to egamcation.

Hey, I learned from you conservatives. Making shit up seems to be your stock in trade.

If you could learn you'd be a conservative but just to swing back to the focus of this thread - and it ain't about you - a Dem governor has faced reality and broke with his shut-it-all-down comrades.

It's a big pic thing … you wouldn't understand:

Connecticut governor pushes for in-person classes to avoid "a lost year"
