Flag of the 7th Virginia Infantry, raised in May 1861 and recruited men from my home county Culpeper, and the surrounding area. Had an illustrious list of battle honors including Manassas, Fredericksburg, Gettysburg, and Petersburg.

A couple of my wife's ancestors fought with the 7th.....Most of my ancestors fought with the 10th and 33rd....A couple with The 43rd Virginia Cav. (Mosby).
