Death of the Republic, the Michael Flynn chapter.

This is the new Fascist America, where law is selectively enforced against political opponents. From the Hussein ordering the spying of the incoming Trump Administration, to his imprisonment of authors that wrote books criticizing him.

Well, that and they actually broke laws and shit.
Like Hillary and her emails, yet no charges.

Or keeping classified material after they left government or keeping classified material on an unsecure server.

Nope, nobody would consider that a big deal, because most of us have no idea what's on our hard drives.

Nope, nobody would consider that a big deal,

The government does. They make you sign all sorts of documents concerning that very thing.
Shocking that the most qualified candidate in history didn't understand that. Or the briefing she got on it. Or the paperwork she signed about it. When she started and when she left.

Like Hillary and her emails, yet no charges.

No sensible person would convict over using the wrong email server.
Wrong, I worked IT for the DoD many years and everyone knows that keeping a private server for official email is illegal, and with classified information even more so. Many people have gone to jail for mishandling classified information and every employee is trained on it every year. She did it on purpose to hide her illegal activities.

All federal employees do know.

You have no issues throwing someone like Flynn in prison for “lying” to the FBI when he committed no underlying crime, even with FBI abuse of power. But intentionally mishandling classified information and destroying the evidence, both actual crimes, don’t deserve time in prison just because the person is a Democrat.

And you claim you aren’t a fascist.

Okay, so how many people have been put in prison for exactly this thing?

Oh. Wait. Zero. At most, you get fired for it. Usually you just get a reprimand, if that.

All federal employees do know.

Yup, All Federal employees know, and probably a lot of them still look at work emails on their personal computers. The problem here is the law hasn't kept up with the technology.

Yeah, because there WAS an underlying crime. Flynn had extensive business contacts with the Russians and Turks, and was doing their bidding as an unregistered agent. So his lying about his contacts with Visleyak is kind of a big deal. He was openly undermining a policy.

Then he lied about it. This opened him to vulnerability to be blackmailed by the Russians.

But intentionally mishandling classified information and destroying the evidence, both actual crimes, don’t deserve time in prison just because the person is a Democrat.

No, they don't deserve time because 1) She was entitled to see the classified information and 2) she was actually supposed to delete it when she left office. This is where you clowns can't get your story straight.

Can you name someone who went to jail for RECEIVING classified information that someone else inadvertently sent?

Go on, buddy, you're the "expert" here, cite the case where it happened. We'll wait.

Jesus you’re a fucking moron. Looking at emails is fine on any computer, as long as it isn’t classified. We’re talking about the email server itself, there are many rules that apply to the server security and keeping records of it. The technology in no way prevented her IT people to follow the law.

Yes, she was entitled to see classified information, and is supposed to do so on a classified system on a classified network. And no, she isn’t supposed to delete/destroy a government email server just because she leaves office. We don’t delete entire servers just because one user leaves.

You should just stop trying to defend this, you keep sounding dumber and dumber as you keep going.

If receiving classified information on the wrong system, it needs to be reported immediately. Not doing so is a crime. But the fact is, she did send classified information as well. So there is no weaseling out of it.

As for people that have been convicted, there are many, look it up yourself.
Ever hear of someone called General Petraeus?
Lt. Cmdr. Edward Lin
Harold Thomas Martin III
John Deutch (pardoned by BJ Clinton!)
Peter Van Buren
James Hitselberger
Rickie Roller
Arthur Gonzalez
Bryan Nishimura

And there are many more, so stop trying to act like it wasn’t breaking the law and no one has ever been convicted of these crimes.

Actually, her server was probably more secure than the State Department's are, because she had the money to buy top of the line equipment and software while the State Dept. still struggles with old tech.

Point was, she didn't send the classified material, some underling sent it to her, usually without a warning and mostly unknowingly. (Some of the emails were retroactively classified.)

No one has ever gone to prison for mishandling classified info? Link?

You're confused how this works. You have to cite a case of someone who did EXACTLY what Hillary did and went to jail for it.

Good luck. That person doesn't exist.

No one else is allowed to be Secretary of State and send/receive emails at [email protected]
Notice her email doesn't end in .gov?

Now, about mishandling classified info......

Jerry Chun Shing Lee (a/k/a “Zhen Cheng Li”) is charged in a complaint with one count of unlawfully retaining classified information, a felony carrying a potential ten-year prison sentence.

Retaining classified information, like Hillary did when she didn't turn over the private server that held classified information.

A federal attorney announced Wednesday that Bryan Nishimura of Folsom, California, pleaded guilty to the unauthorized removal and retention of classified materials.

Nishimura, deployed in Afghanistan in 2007 and 2008 as a regional engineer, admitted to downloading classified briefings and digital records onto his personal electronic devices. He carried the materials off base and brought them back to the U.S. when his deployment ended.

Downloading classified briefings and digital records onto his personal electronic devices, like Hillary did whenever she opened classified emails on a personal Blackberry.

Lee didn't receive emails. He knowingly retained notebooks of classified information AFTER he retired from the CIA. These notebooks were found after he engaged in other activity that got the intelligence communities attention. Oh, yeah, and he was living in Hong Kong with this classified info. So there's that.

Eventually, he was convicted of SPYING FOR CHINA.

Whoops. This was the best you could come up with? A Chinese spy who got caught?

NEXT.

Bryan Nishimura

U.S. Magistrate Judge Kendall J. Newman immediately sentenced Nishimura to two years of probation, a $7,500 fine, and forfeiture of personal media containing classified materials. Nishimura was further ordered to surrender any currently held security clearance and to never again seek such a clearance.

So he didn't go to jail... Was what he did worse than what Hillary did?

Yes. Yes it was.

According to court documents, Nishimura was a Naval reservist deployed in Afghanistan in 2007 and 2008. In his role as a Regional Engineer for the U.S. military in Afghanistan, Nishimura had access to classified briefings and digital records that could only be retained and viewed on authorized government computers. Nishimura, however, caused the materials to be downloaded and stored on his personal, unclassified electronic devices and storage media. He carried such classified materials on his unauthorized media when he traveled off-base in Afghanistan and, ultimately, carried those materials back to the United States at the end of his deployment. In the United States, Nishimura continued to maintain the information on unclassified systems in unauthorized locations, and copied the materials onto at least one additional unauthorized and unclassified system.

Why, yes, yes it was. He carried classified info around with him while travelling in a war zone, and then brought it home with him. He could have been captured and divulged that info.

So not even a good comparison.

He retained classified information. Hillary retained classified information.

He knowingly retained notebooks of classified information AFTER he retired from the CIA.

Hillary knowingly retained a server containing classified information AFTER she retired as the Secretary of State. After signing paperwork saying she had returned all classified materials.

Whoops. This was the best you could come up with? A Chinese spy who got caught?

I can come up with many more who, like Hillary, mishandled classified info.

Nishimura, however, caused the materials to be downloaded and stored on his personal, unclassified electronic devices and storage media.

Reminds me of what Hillary staffers did.

He could have been captured and divulged that info.

Hillary's server could have been (probably was) hacked, divulging that classified info.

The state department's servers also could have been hacked. In fact, they were.

Why worry about four year old emails when you can get into what the State Department is working on RIGHT NOW.

Or you can just get a stooge in the White House who says nothing while you put out bounties on American Troops.
