De Blasio Recruits Everyone With a Phone
Leave it to a commie like Bill de Blasio to lay the groundwork for police state authoritarianism such as has never been imagined. Urges the mayor:

When you see a crowd, when you see a line that’s not distanced, when you see a supermarket that’s too crowded — anything — you can report it right away so we can [send armed agents] there to fix the problem. And now, it’s as simple as taking a photo. All you’ve got to do is take the photo and put the location with it and bang, send a photo like this and we will make sure that enforcement comes right away. Text the photo to 311-692 and action will ensue.

Everyone has a phone with a camera now. That makes everyone a potential agent of the State.
Though Democrats and the media will try, they won’t be able to keep Wuhan virus hysteria at a high boil indefinitely. But the tactics being developed to impose “social distancing” will have other uses, now that it has been confirmed that many Americans value an illusion of safety over basic liberties.

That's kinda spooky. Nazi's, Stalinists, Maoists. They didn't have the phones, though.

On the other hand, DeBlasio is desperate, and he's trying to herd 8,000,000 cats right now. In the meantime, they're still up to their eyeballs in sick people. But he should have kept that idea to himself. I'm sure there are plenty of people in NYC who have been sending photos and complaints to the local PD or wherever already.

It's like a USMB flame war out there, folks. You never know who is going to report you, get you banned.
