It's funny, I'm a Republican who lives in San Francisco. Not many of us. Yet I've voted for the last five Mayors who all won. They are all Democrats. The reason I did so was because their opponents were even more progressive than they were. Yet I had Republican friends give me sh*t for doing so. That I should have virtue signaled as you call it and voted for someone who had no chance.
