Thats right, the man who praised Trump for rescuing New York only to later call him a tyrant. Then he called cops who refused to enforce his mandates dictators.

Now HE is defying the SCOTUS and calling them irrelevant.

The hypocrisy is astounding.

How arrogant!

Oh wait .... " Gov. Andrew Cuomo said the ruling was "irrelevant" because the restrictions were no longer in place "

Fine.

But why favor Mosques over Synagogues to begin with?

He didn't call the SC irrelevant. But they are politicized now. Conservatives have achieved what they set out to do. Tilt the court in a right hand direction with the purpose of enabling the minority to rule over the majority. Same thing they're doing with legislation at the state level. Cuomo was just pointing out it's a different court now. And the fact that a similar case was ruled on a few months ago. What's different? Another right leaning judge. Sorry, but the SC was irrelevant the second they issued the Citizens United ruling.

"The basic point is you know why does the court rule on an issue that is moot unless -- and which they had just decided several months before in other cases..which presented the same argument -- why rule on a case that is moot and come up with a different decision than you did several months ago on the same issue? You have a different court and I think that was the statement that the court was making," Cuomo said".

Sometimes I wonder if his decision to place covid infected people in retirement homes is taking its toll on his conscience.

This is interesting...
Justice Amy Coney Barrett joined the conservative majority, illustrating the ideological impact of her recent addition to the court, which ruled differently on the subject than it had earlier when Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was on the bench.

NY is lucky to have a leader that stands up to the howling mobs of rubes, red necks and mouth breathers.

I'm sure the 10 thousand dead seniors and their families love him!

Of course you mean other New Yorkers who voted him into office.
Those are the ones who are protesting him ... you know ... "the howling mobs of rubes, red necks and mouth breathers."

It never ceases to Amaze me the way liberals view the courts, and justices in particular.
Conservative judges who abide by the constitution, cite the founders writings and speeches on topics and try to make rulings consistent with these founding principles.... “right wingers, tyrants, illegitimate, politicized” etc.
Left wing judges who either ignore the founders, or pull some wild mental gymnastics, or cite some other countries laws to get to the political outcome they want... “fair. Mainstream. Noble.” And on and on.
Why is there such intellectual dishonesty? If the court ruled in a manner I didn’t like, but is upholding origin a list principles... well tough shit for me. But many just want the outcome they want.

Cuomo is right, the decision is irrelevant.

The Trump Court knows that Jesus will protect us from COVID

Trump packed courts are irrelevant and will be dealt with.
Name a court that Trump has packed.
All of them. Circuit, Appeals, District, and Supreme.
I can tell you now, Moonbat, that the Supreme Court is not packed.

Give us a specific example of a lower court that Trump packed. Take your time with your Google machine; we'll wait.
Don't need Google. Record numbers of unqualified Trump nominees have been approved by our corrupt Senate Republicans. Many perjured themselves during hearings, an impeachable offense.

McConnell and the Republican let Senate has packed conservative judges into just about all levels of the court. In fact, it's really the only thing the Senate has done over the last four years.

For those of us who live in reality... the definition of “packing the court” means adding seats to appoint people you want to tilt the balance.
that hasn’t been done. But as a liberal, they looooove playing word games and changing meanings and definitions to suit them.
To them, packing the court now means appointing judges they don’t like to open seats. This is because “packing the court” has a negative connotation, so they are going to misapply it to imply something wrong/immoral/illegal has been done.
Blatant dishonesty. But then again, do you expect any less
