Cultural Communism: USC to Remove John Wayne Exhibit

Maybe they will change their mascot from Traveler to Fellow Traveler

Okay. Not seeing any problem with this. The man died 45 years ago, what relevence does he have to modern filmmakers.

When was the last time any of you went out to see a John Wayne film?
John Wayne is an American icon. Applying today's purity tests to a man who lived during a period when White Racism was the norm is ridiculous. If you are going to do that, then apply the same rigor to Lyndon Johnson and remove all memorials to him. There was never a more dangerous and hateful Racist than LBJ.

Yet at the end of the day, LBJ did the right things on Race. And frankly, he's not really one of the most well-regarded presidents today. He gets a lot of flack for Vietnam (as he should) and for not standing up enough.

John Wayne, on the other hand, made a lot of pictures that glorified a period we've kind of come to regret. The problem isn't just Duke's views, it's the kind of movies he made. The ones where the genocide of the west was kind of okay, because White People. We are rethinking that today. Perhaps we should.

The Duke was an American icon.
The buy a picture of him and put it on your wall. Problem solved. but no, you would rather whine about USC removing an exhibit you have never seen and never gave a shit about until some paid right wing blogger put out a piece meant to get people like you all frothy.

LBJ did more damage to American Black people than all the "White Supremacist" organizations combined. His policies were the very definition of Systemic Racism.

It just shows how intolerant and immature many of today's university students are.

No one is forcing those precious little darlings to visit the exhibit.

Don't they have anything else to do with their lives than to demand that the exhibit be taken down?

Why do they wish to kowtow to a few loud-mouthed activists? (Of course, I guess that we cannot blame those children -- and that is what they are -- when they see the Speaker of the House literally kneel in contrition before that "anti-cop movement.")

No, John Wayne was a popular actor for 30-40 years. Tom Hanks has been a popular actor for 30-40 years. Is he an American icon? Should we be naming airports after Tom Hanks?

But you can still read about John Wayne in books.

Come January, 2021, the Dems may start library censorship big time.

As in the USSR, John Wayne may become a non-person. Any books about him may be pulped.

Any photographs of him with politically correct people may be cropped so that he is "disappeared."

Oh, the woke Dems have some real doozies in store for us.
