Cruz has gone from party leader in the Iowa GOP caucus to firing at the closing Rubio who draws even nearer. Once out of evangelical Iowa, Cruz will have real problems in NH.

RINGSTED, Iowa—The countdown to the Iowa caucuses is now measured in hours, Ted Cruz reminded voters at various small-town stops throughout the day. But even in its twilight, the race here seems as volatile as ever.

It wasn’t too long ago that Cruz was considered the Hawkeye State favorite. Now, Donald Trump threatens his victory, and Marco Rubio is at his heels.

Jake, Sweetie, the GOP Establishment is not going to sneak Rubio in the back door like you did with Romney four years ago.

If Cruz flounders, most of his support will go to Trump, and then you'll be stuck with him.

The problem is, the anti-establishment track - Cruz, Trump, Carson, Paul - makes up about 65% of the electorate.

The Establishment candidates - Rubio, Bush, Kasich, Christie - guys who actually would make CREDIBLE Presidents, combined only total 20% of the GOP electorate.

So while Iowa and New Hampshire might weed out the herd, this isn't going to help Rubio, who is going to come in third in Iowa and fifth in New Hampshire.

In fact, a strong second place showing in New Hampshire might make Kasich the Establishment darling. Right before he gets crushed like a grape like Trump.

And you know what, maybe Trump is what the GOP deserves.

No, Trump is what America deserves for electing such a destructive POTUS twice. That's how bad Obama has made our country. So bad, that even a Trump is viewed as a savior for the 51% who sold us down the river

Joey and Fakey sittin in a tree...getting dumber with each passing day.

Any American who wants an establishment candidate to win, must have lost their mind if they ever had one.

Guy, I just did my taxes last night. I made more money last year than I ever have in my life.

this year I will make even more. I wish Obama could run for a third term!

(Well, no, I don't, but you get the idea.)

the fact is, Trump will do less well than McCain or Romney, who for all their faults, would have made credible presidents.

His misogyny and racism will not play as well with the general electorate as it does for the 10% of the population that shows up for GOP Primaries.

I want someone who will know how to run the government and will bring in people who know how to run the various departments.

Who is Trump going to bring in? Contestants from his Reality TV Show? Fellow Reality TV stars?

Are we going to get Tila Tequila as the Secretary of Defense?

He's about as much a republican as you are a progressive dimwit....in other words he isn't
He is an establishment republican, but he is not sure why. Being a statist and advocate of big government, he fits perfectly within the R party. He hates W, but admires Lil Jebby, Rubio, kasich, and all other progressive Rs...proof of his Weak mental state.

His constant use of "far right" is telling. Regardless he's a dim wit and best to be ignored....or laughed at

Yeah his fear of something that has no power in the country, would seem to indicate a paranoid and demented mind...but he can be funny now and then.
