It's weird that Republicans/Conservatives point to MLK and his teachings as an argument against the left now. And it's completely justified.

They dont view the black Middle Class as legit.

Critical race theory is tied to white nationalism because it, “others” white people and forces them to defend themselves against, ironically, racist attacks. White nationalism itself, in the strict sense of the term, is representative of the modern white’s non confrontational nature. They’re not supremacists, they just want a country to themselves where they can be alone. Eliminating critical race theory from public life is an important step toward bringing folks together in that the theory keeps digging up the hatchet that everyone needs to bury.
