'CRIME OF THE CENTURY!' Trump issues furious statements lashing out at Pence and Mitch McConnell for his election loss

He's ruminating, fuming, lashing out, pissed, piqued, storming. (Crime of the Century? Has this average IQ'r ever had a thought, phrase, moniker, meme, tag line of his own invention? Remember, Make America Great Again was Reagan's).

Anyone else think the legal cases are getting ready to start breaking? The walls are closing in and he knows it? Remember his attorneys must be apprised of what is coming down the pike. Discovery, requests, subpoenas, etc.

Think of JUST his DC hotel financials being turned over yesterday by GSA to congress. McGahan has come up with a deal to testify to congress. Cohen just went to see the NY prosecutors (8th 'visit') less than a month ago. Trump ORG's CFO is negotiating a deal to keep him and or his SONS out of jail. That's just what I can think of off the top of my head.

May 15, 2021

"As our Country is being destroyed, both inside and out, the Presidential Election of 2020 will go down as THE CRIME OF THE CENTURY!" wrote Trump in his first statement, following up with a second that said, "The polls were a joke. I won States in a landslide that I was predicted to lose days before the election," Trump added. "Other states had me purposely so far down that it would force people, even fans, to say "Let's stay home Darling. We love our President, but he can't win." ... It's called SUPPRESSION POLLING and it should be illegal."

"The 2020 Presidential Election was, by far, the greatest Election Fraud in the history," continued Trump. "Had Mike Pence had the courage to send the Electoral College vote back to the states for recertification, and had Mitch McConnell fought for us instead of being the weak and pathetic leader he is, we would right now have a Republican President who would be VETOING the horrific Socialistic Bills that are rapidly going through Congress, including Open Borders, High Taxes, Massive Regulations, and so much else!"

Trump is gone...and you are still desperately, pathetically, holding on and getting triggered by every word he says, every action he takes....

Bwuhahahaha.....

Trump still owns your ass - 24/7 - you can't let him go.

How frighin' sad....and funny as hell.

This is Trump's impotent tantrum... You can all see what a loser he is.
They cheer it on. They love it.

A true group pathology.

You seem to be happy with the absolutely absurd policies of Biden which will very quickly destroy our country simply because Trump pissed in your Corn Flakes. Who is the pathogical again? It is the TDS crowd.

tRump pissed in your corn flakes as well. Ewe are just to enamored with your Orange God/King to see it.

While the prog slaves whine about what happened 4 months ago, they totally ignore their prog masters who have completely ignore the failures of the Demoncraps as they fuck this country....again...like the brown turd Obama tried, but was corrected when the people of the United States sent Hitlery packing.

"We like Trump because he's brutally honest."

Again, it is posts like the above that keep me coming back to this show. It's sorta like the Freak Show on the County Fair Midway. If you know what I mean. Or, as an admired friend frequently says....'The Bizzaro Desk'.

So, "brutal honesty' to some sure seems like mendacious falsehoods, misstatements, and untruths to others. Or so it seems.

Glen Kessler of the Washington Post had a long running ...and now famous ....tally of those falsehoods. (ps...they no longer tally Trump's fibs since he left office.). Anyway, Kessler's team birddogged every utterance...be it oral, Twitter, Presser, or interview with Hannity, Ingram, Dobbs, or Limbaugh, et al, that Trump made. And then they 'fact-checked' em.
And, I don't need to tell you .....but Don came across as a pretty prolific fibber.*

So, here's a peek at WaPo's last story about Trump fibbing. And, to overdrive the nail, I added a link to the Poynter Institute's 'Politifacts' most recent collection of Trump's 'Pants-on-Fire' fibs.

So, please peruse both.....and then stand up and assert that "We like Trump because he's honest." (ummmm? who is "we"?)

"Trump’s false or misleading claims total 30,573 over 4 years"

When The Washington Post Fact Checker team first started cataloguing President Donald Trump’s false or misleading claims, we recorded 492 suspect claims in the first 100 days of his presidency. On Nov. 2 alone, the day before the 2020 vote, Trump made 503 false or misleading claims as he barnstormed across the country in a desperate effort to win reelection.

This astonishing jump in falsehoods is the story of Trump’s tumultuous reign. By the end of his term, Trump had accumulated 30,573 untruths during his presidency — averaging about 21 erroneous claims a day.
What is especially striking is how the tsunami of untruths kept rising the longer he served as president and became increasingly unmoored from the truth.*

And premier fact checker, Politifacts, has a whole collection of Don Trump’s “Pants on Fire” statements. Here, in this link you can see some of them, but there are a lot more.

Don Trump: “In certain swing states, there were more votes than people who voted, and in big numbers.”

A personal fav of mine about DJT's reputation for, ah, 'fibbing'......is the reporting on Don Trump's own attorneys, in court over some contract breach if I recall properly, stated...to the court......that "Our client doesn't always tell the truth". (or words to that effect).

When your own lawyers tell the judge you are a liar......well, that's really rich, in my view. So, some like the guy because they think he is honest. The Duped and Snookered, IMHO.

We like Trump because he's brutally honest. PROGS dislike Trump because they can't take the truth.
That just may qualify as the most preposterous statement I've ever heard anyone make.

Cuz it makes you feel good to believe that huh? PROGS have lots & lots of feelings.
Actually, it doesn't make me feel good at all. You see, I sized Trump up as a liar early on. It wasn't even hard to verify the lies either because facts are a matter of public record, and the Internet makes searches virtually effortless. You just have to be able to discern between reliable and highly questionable sources, and even that's not really all that difficult to do.

Yeah, it's not a good feeling to know that millions of people can be so easily hoodwinked, especially by someone who is so transparently dishonest and maybe perhaps not mentally well.

You see, I've known of other liars, unlike Trump, who came off as sincere and believable. Bernie Madoff comes to mind since he defrauded so many people out of billions of dollars. After all, you would have to assume that most people would be extra attentive and cautious when it comes to their life savings. Even so, they got cheated just the same.

Joe Nacchio is another name that comes to mind. He took over my former employer's company in the late 1990's when I had investments there, including a big 401k. I had a bad feeling about him almost from the beginning, but very few people took my warnings seriously. Again, I was right. And thankfully, I moved the money out that I could before the stock value went down to around $1 a share from a high that was somewhere around 40 something, if I remember correctly.

Yes, investors have learned the hard way over the years from smooth talking con men like Bernie Ebbers of MCI WorldCom and Ken Lay of Enron fame.

Then there's all the so-called religious leaders who fleece their flocks while living like Kings. I won't even bother to name any of them here.

But who could forget what Jim Jones, formerly from SF, did when he was in Guyana and led over 900 people to suicide or forced suicide before he took his own life by shooting himself in the head back in 1978.

How about Marshall Applewhite of Heavens Gate fame back in 1997. I won't even get into it. I'll just post a link about him.

You might ask why I even bring him up. The answer is simple. It's because as crazy as he and his theories were, he had FOLLOWERS, and they followed him...to their deaths.

This is one of the problems with the world today, if not at any time in history, because many human beings are susceptible to the advances of charismatic con men who promise some kind of special inclusion even as they separate them from their families and friends.

What's different about Trump is that he's perpetuating his fraud in the political world as opposed to the world of faith or finance. But it is fraud none the less, and he will willingly burn down America in the furtherance of his fraud. I just don't want that to happen.

I stopped reading at sized Trump as a liar early on. Venturing a guess the balance is all subjective and out of context.

Well-meaning advice from a well-meaning avataree: You should try a 'taster' subscription to the Post. I think you can get a month or so (digitally) via Amazon for a good price.
It is a really quite good news source with original reporting by first class, highly-acclaimed reporters. The Post has been awarded the Pulitzer Prize 69 times. Hint: Just watch how often WaPo's reporting is quoted or featured in a wide wide assortment of newsfeeds....from the Leftfield, the Rightfield, and the middle. Everybody quotes WaPo. Their reporters are frequent featured guests on many broadcast programs....TV, radio and podcast.

Here's what a nano-search on google can reveal for you:
"The Washington Post is regarded as one of the leading daily American newspapers, along with The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and The Wall Street Journal. The Post has distinguished itself through its political reporting on the workings of the White House, Congress, and other aspects of the U.S. government.

So, if you haven't read the Post for a little bit of time, well, then any criticism of it is sorta invalid. Like the guy who hates Ford trucks, but has never owned or driven one.

Whaddya got to lose?

"So...how about Matt Gaetz and MGT going on their "We love trump" tour?"

You know, poster Bodecea, that teaming up by Gaetz & Greene is one of the most bizarre political acts I can ever recall. Akin, maybe, to Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman.

I ain't a Republican (except to go to their speaker luncheons), nor am I a Democrat (except to go to their speaker luncheons), but to be totally honest, I cannot imagine any of the good people I know who identify as Republicans being happy with their Party tying their reputation and gravitas to FratBoy Gaetz and Space Laser Marjorie.

(Didja see the recent video clip of Green shouting into the friggin' mail-slot of Congresswoman Octavia-Cortez' office? Jeeeeezus H. Keerist!.....what a nutter.)

And she gets votes from "Conservatives". But those cannot be the responsible Conservatives I grew up around and know and admire today. Only nutters could vote for that nutter. IMHO.

Anyway, what can the Republican Party be thinking with promoting and advancing those two dunderheaded nutjobs?

I had to roll my eyes when I saw that huge retirement community in Florida, The Villages, invite that pair in for a little whirl & twirl rally.

Real Republicans, real Conservatives, must have choked down their gag-reflex when those two got invited onto the property.

I can't imagine a political Party thinking those two can improve the reputation of Republicans.

Frankly, Gaetz and Greene, simply have to be the Democrat's Dream Team.

IMHO

Neither Pence nor McConnell could have done anything. He has to know this, at some level.
the swamp stole the election

But we can't change that now

When Kennedy stole the 1960 election Nixon (who was a swamp rat himself and part of the club) accepted his defeat gracefully and was rewarded by the team with a win in 1968

But trump is not part of the washington crowd and he's damn pissed

and so am I
Pushing the orange Big Lie for your lard & master, I see.
The problem here is that they are completely serious. They're not kidding, or even lying. They really do believe this stuff. All of it.

A true group pathology, something the world hasn't seen since Europe, 85 years ago.
I'm not so sure that's true for all of them. I say that because, over the years, I've seen conservatives eagerly and enthusiastically jump on arguments that other conservatives make even when the arguments are illogical or even nonsensical. I'd have to call it a political argument pile on. After all, they're clearly not independent thinkers by any stretch of the imagination. They're followers.

The danger of this kind of argument is that even though they haven't proved it, and they never will, it can't be disproved either simply because you can't disprove a negative. It's likely that conservatives who are more educated understand this, and that's why they continue to push the argument because they understand that nobody will be able to prove it isn't true. So, they keep on pushing the argument that the election was stolen, and all the other conservatives do what they always do. They pile on.

And then, as long as Don Trump's honesty has been brought up, well, here's a statement from Maricopa County, Arizona (published in today's "The Week")
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(ps...the underlining below was by my avatar.)
"Arizona GOP election official: Trump's latest statement 'unhinged'
Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer, a Republican who leads the Arizona county's election department, on Saturday called the latest statement about the 2020 presidential election from former President Donald Trump "unhinged." Trump claimed Saturday that "the entire database of Maricopa County ... has been DELETED! This is illegal and the Arizona State Senate, who is leading the forensic audit, is up in arms." Richer called Trump's statement a "plain-as-day lie" and urged his fellow Republicans to help him convey that message. "We can't indulge these insane lies any longer," he tweeted. "As a party. As a state. As a country." The Arizona Senate took possession of more than 2 million Maricopa County ballots and election equipment last month for a much-criticized, slow-moving hand recount of the vote."

So it's more of a game for those people, a tactic?
In a lot of cases, yeah.

Think of all the threads over the years. I learned a long time ago to be highly suspicious of every claim they make. At first I tried to keep an open mind. But if there was one thing that truly surprised me, it was the sheer overwhelming number of false claims, misrepresentations, and wild exaggerations I encountered day after day, and week after week. Eventually, I couldn't give these posters the benefit of the doubt anymore because it was like they were all running plays from the same playbook, and that playbook said to just make stuff up and push it out there. It's little more than a Machiavellian effort because they believe that the end (getting what they want) justifies the means (say anything).

One of the most recent examples that stands out in my mind is the poster who claimed that 120 former Generals and Admirals said that our nation was in deep peril. It had all the signs of an orchestrated disinformation campaign.

Then there was the thread that claimed that Article 2 Sec 1 of the US Constitution stated that only state legislatures could make changes in how elections were conducted. It clearly wasn't true. It's actually very likely that the poster wasn't even aware of it since I had read that somewhere else when I was too busy to check it out. He likely just heard it and ran with it without bothering to check, and I doubt he cared that it wasn't true anyway.

It's simply one more way to hopefully convince someone who's sitting on the fence, and thereby increase the overall numbers of people who are willing to believe that the election was stolen.

However, it IS instructive because it shows that the concept of 'conservative principles' which conservatives are all too eager to mention as if they have very high standards of conduct is pretty much little more than a false advertising campaign to mislead people from understanding just how unscrupulous they truly are.

I can't find anything wrong with that claim

I'd guess it's most likely that some really believe this stuff and some are just playing partisan games.

When I sit down with clients who are Trumpsters -- so I'm not talking about the politicians, politicos and pundits who make a living at playing games -- I look in their eyes, and these people are just fucking terrified. They've bought into the whole thing, and their misguided and mal-informed paranoia is as real as anything else to them. But they're sincere.

Then there are the politicians, politicos and pundits who are just doing this to advance their own professional agenda.

I'm not sure where to draw the line. I'm always asking questions, though, looking for clues. My guess is that the majority of Trumpsters on this board are like the clients I described -- they're like kids who think pro wrestling is real.

So tough to say for sure.
