It wasn't until the current age that the term "Plantation" became recognized as "racist".

Traditionally, the term "plantation" was just a fancy name for a large farm, and had nothing to do with slavery or black people.

Plenty of neighborhoods in America have the word "Plantation" in their names, including where my brother lives in the South. Are they going to have to change now too?

When he said plantation it was without racist connotations. He has nothing to apologize for. I mean incorrect usage of the word, but everyone gets the idea. Probably meant to say platoon.
