Coronavirus should give us hope that we are able to tackle the climate crisis

Coronavirus has disrupted everyday life throughout the world through travel bans, flight restrictions and the cancellation of sporting and cultural events.

More than 10 million Italians have been banned from travelling, and all public events cancelled. In China, 30 million people are still under lockdown, allowed to leave their homes only every two days. The Japanese prime minister has requested that all schools close for the entire month of March, while the Italian and Iranian authorities have closed all schools and universities. Despite the costs and inconveniences these actions impose, the general public is generally quiescent, even approving.

But coronavirus is not the only global crisis we face: the climate crisis, as others have noted, is expected to be more devastating. Some have observed that the response to the two crises is starkly different. As an expert in behavioural sciences, I have been giving some thought to what explains this difference.

Yeap, they could not help themselves. It is about climate change.

The difference is that one actually happened, and the other hasn't happened. "Hasn't actually happened" is not a persuasive reason to make big changes in life.

I think your reading comprehension skills are in need of improvement. Cornoavirus is not about climate change. It is the response to coronavirus that gives us hope that we can deal with climate change.

The leftists, who supposedly believe in the climate change, and believe the earth has less than 10 years (aoc said 3 years ago we have 12 years) sure aren't doing shit about it, now are they?

I wish they give us the list of changes to their life. Remember, they are the ones that believe in it and yet use more fossil fuels than anyone in history.

Just like leftists yelling about higher taxes, never pay more taxes when they can. Why not?

We are all listening, but they will ignore this

Tell us all of the things you are doing about it. Well, we are all listening.

Remember, when we tell them the truth about nazis being socialists, very few things get them more upset. Only minority free thinking conservatives piss them off more. That, is their greatest threat.

So, when they call nazis "facsists" that is them equating the free market (capitalism) to fascism. Yes they are that simple.

They think Trump is far worst than stalin and mao combined. Yes, that stupid but that is how they think.

Yes, they think they are the smart ones.
