I believe West has some legitimate complaints. Why would courses on Existentialism, American Democracy, and the Conduct of Life fall under Afro-American Religious Studies? But Hannah-Jones at Carolina, she has no complaint, her book was little more than historical fiction and had no academic integrity. Maybe she could get a tenured position at a University with a department of Yellow Journalism, but not one of real Journalism.
