I was sitting in my stand one morning during deer season, but I had not seen anything yet worth killing. All of a sudden, a bachelor group of 14 big gobblers flew across the Shenandoah River and landed about 180 yards away. I just watched them because you can't kill turkeys during deer season...

What was your most effective pitch during that game?

I don't have a lot of cool stories, but I used to play football and rugby as team sports and did all the intramurals when I was in college. I still golf infrequently and was decent when I wanted to put in the time but now just don't give a flip about my score. It will be whatever it will be. The only reason we still have a membership is because the ball and chain and our devil spawn like to use the pool and pickle ball/tennis courts. As for exercise, I mostly just get it by running out from behind the bushes and screaming at the neighborhood kids to get off my lawn.

I threw 90+ in the 1980's and threw a Slider.

Not enough to crack the Big Leagues.
But an enjoyable ride.

I was JUST "Pretty Good", others were better, and I knew my path.
Spend years in the Minors or continue with the degree path...........?

40 years later, I know I made the correct choice.
