Warren said in a opinion that voters had the right to elect people to federal office. Recent decisions by this conservative majority court as nullified that opinion. They say legislatures are the ones who should ultimately decide if there is any dispute. That they also have every right to gerrymander to keep their party in power and that mega donors like corporations have every right to donate as much as they want to candidates. Some red states are taking the power to certify elections away from their Secretary of States and giving that power to 'appointed officials'. If the votes from certain districts come in in favor of a democrat that appointed official can simply refuse to certify those votes due to 'abnormalities'. Democracy as we have known it is about to disappear. ...Analysis: How the Supreme Court has tilted election law to favor the Republican Party

What you are saying makes no sense. Its not your fault. Liberalism may well be a mental malady. The rich, mega donors, and corporations largely support the fascist dems.

Protecting gerrymandering has been a court precedent for well over 100 years in various state and federal courts throughout the country. It has nothing to do with a conservative SCOTUS. If people are tired of gerrymandering then it's up to them to elect state legislators to change the state law as to who creates the districts. Several states have already done this.

The GOP has proven to be an even 'greater threat' to US democracy than Trump in 2021, experts warn

You already vote to give them everything they want. They don't need to bother convincing you.

Welcome to the 60+ years post-FDR when he had appointed 8 of the 9 SCOTUS justices.

Feel sorry for you, I do not. Take your fucking medicine.

The dems dilemma is that gerrymandering need not be racially motivated. Sometimes it's just that some "groups" vote dem more often than gop

Well it does seem not coincidental that despite the dems winning the WH 5 times to the gop's 3, the gop has controlled the nomination process. McConnell ensured that RBG could not retire because he wasn't going to confirm a 3rd. It's the dems own fault. The dems could have done the same to Reagan or HW
