Congressman Hank Johnson: If Guam gets too overpopulated, it might tip over

Rep. Hank Johnson: Guam could 'tip over and capsize'

Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.) is afraid that the U.S. Territory of Guam is going to "tip over and capsize" due to overpopulation.

Johnson expressed his worries during a House Armed Services Committee hearing on the defense budget Friday.

My husband just decided he will run for office his campaign slogan will be:

“At least I know that islands are attached to the ocean floor.” :eusa_whistle:

And he will ask for just half of what Johnson is making.

Guess Johnson read this and didn't realize it was satire and figured if it can happen to Ireland, by God it can happen to Guam! Anyone that stupid needs to be shot, pronto.

Ireland will tip over by 2030

DUBLIN – A new survey by Engineers Ireland has revealed that the island will tip over on itself in 2030 due to population balance.

The report, Infrastructure for an Island Population of Eight Million, argues that steps must be taken to ensure that spending on infrastructure should focus on the city regions that will house the majority of the country’s people. Indeed, the report speculates that only 12 people will be living outside the Belfast-Dublin corridor when the population soars to 8 million.

The report adds: “The sheer weight of 8 million people all living on the east coast will literally tip the country over while the density of population between Belfast and Dublin will be such that people will be literally living in each others’ pockets. “

Among the remedies proposed to offset the population-provoked topographical imbalance is to deposit every unsold chick lit novel by an Irish author on the west coast as ballast.

The report also recommends a series of infrastructure improvements to prepare Ireland for the population explosion including building motorways over any historical sites and rolling out dial-up internet coverage across 70% of the country by 2020.

Guam must have one hell of a floatation device. No wonder they can't find Atlantis. It must have broke off from its moorings and drifted before capsizing and sinking in unknown parts.
