Executive, yes. Legislative, yes. Judicial, yes.

So where do Governors come from?

If Governors come from States and their process of keeping the State, then do all states need to follow 1 model?

Why do i ask.

Because if States implemented Governors for the sake of keeping the State proper, then it is to The Larger Constitution, The U.S Constitution, that each State Governor is accountable under as well as being responsible to keeping 'up' the State constitution, right?

Well, once upon a time, the United States of America were just that: a group of independent nations that ceded certain powers to a federal government.

Before the Civil War/War Between the States, many people regularly would say "The United States are …."

In short, a governor is a mini-president (at least in theory). Over the centuries, the federal government has grabbed a lot of power that once belonged to the states.

Government is expensive. Two governments is often twice as expensive. Fifty states have entire governments. The U.S. does not, today, 'need' to be so many separate states.
Think consolidation. Think savings. Think smaller (lesser?) government. Several areas of the U. S. could easily be folded into one state.
