Computers are used for violent, vicious crimes....kidnapping, rape, sex trafficking, child molesting......

So why don't we require universal background checks for the sale of any computer product? Including any electronic device that allows internet access....Iphones, smart phones in general, Ipads, notebook computers......any electronic device...

Many computer criminals who are captured by police are sentenced by judges who, as part of the sentence, ban them from using computers.....so, the only way to keep them from getting computers to molest children, sell women into slavery and murder....is to require a full, police background check...right?

Computers today are part of just about every major criminal network.....and terrorist network too........ sex traffickers, child molesters...and those crimes result in murder.....so why not require a federal background check for every purchase of an electronic device?

Guns are extremely regulated from design to construction to use. There is almost nothing regulating the design of my computer.

Um....no. Any criminal can walk into a store and buy any computer they want to continue their child molesting, sex trafficking, terrorism, identity theft.....why don't you support requiring all people to get background checks to make sure computers are not getting into the wrong hands?

Notice.... I didn't say we are going to confiscate computers........no one I know says they want to confiscate computers.....they just want common sense regulations to keep them out of the hands of criminals....so that Iphone....before you get it, you must go through a background check...

Besides.....imagine if we had Red Flag Laws for computers and Iphones....your ex wife tells the police she thinks you are using your computers for child porn, or buying illegal guns....the cops come to your home and take all of your electronic equipment....until you can prove you haven't been doing what she says you were doing.

Have grown up in what would consider a FAMILY I know for a fact criminals obey the law as much as the Devil does not deceive...

The reality the laws will not prevent the criminal from their action and the criminal will find other avenues to obtain the object they want no matter how many laws you have against it.

Safety is my only concern and the only reason to restrict access to guns. Do you know how many people are physically harmed by computers every year? I don't but I'd guess it is way fewer than with guns.

On the other hand computer crimes can generally be traced back to the perpetrator since there is always some kind of trail. Registration of guns would provide the same level of knowledge to police.
