The Trump cultists are using two general categories of excuse here.
1. "We never like those stupid ol' town halls anyways!" (The sour grapes)
2. "Biden came across as smart and empahtic, while Trump came across as a vicious moron, therefore the media had to have been cheating for BIden!" (The conspiracy)
That's right, Trump cultists. The media must have fed Biden questions. After all, there's no possible way either candidate could have guessed they would be asked questions on the pandemic, the economy or race relations.
