Communist paradise that is Cuba 🇨🇺

How can any middle class American look at the condition of this once beautiful and prosperous nation and believe that leftist policies are successful????SHAMEFUL.🥺

Nice try, but you failed. Cuba was a colony of the US, and about 24% of the population was part of the "Middle Class". Most Cubans were dirt poor, and that's how Casto and his rag-tag crew of revolutionaries defeated Batista, Cuba's mafia-dictator. Most Cubans supported Castro because their lives were miserable. I know, my family migrated to the US from Cuba and I'm well-versed in Cuba's history and politics.

Here is Philadelphia:

Is that a fair picture of Philidelphia? That's America?

I can also walk around the city here in NYC and make it look horrible, with garbage out in the street. Moreover, you ignore the fact that Cuba is in the shadow of the American capitalist empire and is being brutally sanctioned economically by that capitalist superpower. The US is the exclusive issuer of the USD, the world's reserve currency. It controls much of the world's banking system, and if your country is 90 miles away from the US and under strict economic embargo, you're not going to do too well. You're up the creek without a paddle.

Every cargo ship that anchors in a Cuban port is barred from anchoring in an American port for six months. Now ask yourself, if you spend hundreds of millions of dollars, or even billions, on a cargo ship, do you want it essentially banned from American ports for six months, because you delivered goods to a Cuban port or would you prefer to do business with the United States and avoid Cuban ports? It's a no-brainer for most companies and governments. You're better off doing business with the US, not Cuba hence Cuba's economic and political isolation. You don't have the ideological luxury of appealing to these types of arguments against socialism or leftist economics when the capitalist ruling class in the US is committing economic terrorism against socialist countries like Cuba.

Let socialism fail on its own, stop sanctioning it, threatening it with war, bombing and invading it..etc. You don't have an argument against socialism when do that.

More, here in the US, capitalism relies heavily on socialism:

Socialism bails out capitalism every few years here in the US. It's called the "boom-bust cycle" or the "business cycle". The big-money capitalists privatize the profits and make public the losses, forcing the American taxpayer to bail them out. To do otherwise leads to an economic collapse so the American people are forced by necessity to bail out the "too big to fail" capitalists. How convenient. Socialism saves capitalism every few years, to prevent the nation;s economy from collapsing and maybe even social unrest that cal result in a civil war. So the government has to come in with public funds and save the day. Handing out welfare checks to billionaires (socialism for the rich).

WRONG

Cuba was never a colony. Even with the corruption of Batista they were better off and had a higher standard of living

We DO let socialism fail on its own it does not need trade with the US to socceed and they are free to treade with any nation

You are a proven liar many times over. Socialism HAS NEVER bailed out capitalism and you have never provided and example

The people did not and never have supported Castro he siezed power though graft and bribery of the batista regime

You are always proven wrong and a complete liar

And now most Cubans are doing better......NOT!
And you think by ignoring everything I said in that post, you've won something? NOT! If Cubans aren't doing better today, supposedly, it's not because socialism failed, it's due to the capitalist empire's economic terrorism.

You said something else in that post?
Was it your usual "Capitalism is awful and communism works"?
I just filter out that BS now.

No, it's because Communism failed, dumbass.

Right! See how easy that was? I'm correct, you're wrong.

Cuba was never a colony.

It wasn't an official colony of the US, but it was under the heel of American power. There were clauses in its constitution allowing the US to intervene in its territory and take control of its government. Much of its infrastructure was owned by American companies, including its best land.

Even with the corruption of Batista they were better off and had a higher standard of living

About 24% of the population was of the Middle Class, leaving most Cubans in poverty. That's how Castro was able to beat Batista. Most Cubans were living in horrible conditions.

The US imposes sanctions upon Cuba that prohibit it from opening bank accounts and lines of credit with Western financial institutions and cargo ships are barred from anchoring at American ports for six months after anchoring in Cuba. There's a long list of regulations, like no industrial machinery or product that contains components protected by American patents is permitted to be imported into Cuba. If foreign companies, including banks and governments, violate the economic sanctions imposed by the US on Cuba, they're heavily fined and could potentially be economically sanctioned as well.

Doing business with Cuba is a serious liability; hence, the Island has been reduced to a "leper colony" economically and politically. It's a country you want to avoid in order not to anger the 800-pound gorilla 90 miles away from its shores.

You are a proven liar many times over.....

You haven't proven anything other than you're an ignorant moron.

Socialism HAS NEVER bailed out capitalism and you have never provided and example

Whenever public funds bail out your beloved capitalist masters, that's socialism. You can deny it, but when the public has to bail out your capitalist lords, that's socialism saving capitalism.

The people did not and never have supported Castro he siezed power though graft and bribery of the batista regime

My family on the Island is pro-Castro and socialist. Most Cubans despite the hardship caused by the sanctions, are pro-socialist and don't want to see Cuba become another Puerto Rico. Cubans will soon be liberated from the American capitalist empire's economic terrorism, when they join BRICS and the Zoomers take power in the US, in a few decades. The Zoomers are the most socialist generation in American history and they're surely going to lift the economic embargo on Cuba.

You are always proven wrong and a complete liar

You're delusional.
