My wife’s family escaped from a former Communist country and would laugh in your face about your take on Communism. They, like most folks who actually know first hand, are adamantly opposed to the Democratic Party in the US because they are able to see where it is heading. They have a unique perspective. They are able to see the signs and are nearly as naive nor gullible.
