Why does he lie? What possible good can come from blatant and complete fabrications? Particularly coming from the mouth of the most powerful and respected man on Earth?

“Yesterday at a fundraiser for an Arizona congressman, Mr. Bush claimed, quote, “177 of the opposition party said, ‘You know, we don’t think we ought to be listening to the conversations of terrorists.’”

One hundred seventy-seven Democrats opposed the president’s seizure of another part of the Constitution.

Not even the White House press office could actually name a single Democrat who had ever said the government shouldn’t be listening to the conversations of terrorists.

Here is another one!!!!!!

“Tuesday, at another fundraiser in California, he had said, “Democrats take a law enforcement approach to terrorism. That means America will wait until we’re attacked again before we respond.”

Mr. Bush fabricated that, too.

What about this one?

“If you listen closely to some of the leaders of the Democratic Party,” the president said at another fundraiser Monday in Nevada, “it sounds like they think the best way to protect the American people is — wait until we’re attacked again.”

The president doesn’t just hear what he wants.

He hears things that only he can hear.

The President lost much credibility through his failure to listen to his commanders in the field or even to the voters that have supported him for all this time. Quite simply, I don’t think he knows or cares.

Check all this out!!!!!

You're right---he certainly spun what happened into conclusions that can't be backed up literally---I wonder what took him so long to play like libs?

Everything said in this commentary is the absolute truth. I'll be awaiting your refutations without your personal spin. Get it? I got it.

you're right---so many questionable things are said during election season that it makes one tend to just ignore it all and wait til it's all over.

The Democrats are against the Presiden't plan to listen to the chatter. Despite whether you believe the eavesdropping plan is Constitutional, there is no reason to believe they aren't listening to the terrorist chatter -- and the Democrats are against the program.

I'm no Bush lover...but when I hear this "BUSH IS A LIAR" shit I just wanna :puke:

Can't those on the extremes of the political spectrum debate with civility?

Are you talking about George H. W. Bush, or is "President" too big of a word for you?

What a hateful person he is. I just watched part of a video with Obermier, or whatever his name is, and I had to turn it off.

I can't believe the venom, the sheer unadulterated hatred, that liberals have for this president. I will never understand it. Their hatred is so out of proportion to anything the man has ever said or done that it just makes them look like crazed loons. But they don't see it because they can't see paste their own hatred.

It's a deep seated hatred for this country. They can hide behind Bush hatred all they want, and they can even deny they hate him, but their hatred is plain to see.

It's disgusting.
