Comics and talk show hosts, too ... Duck. They take freedom of speech and run with it, and most of them get away with it. The only difference is that Palin is white. If she had been Black and the story flipped ..... it would turn into a whole new can of worms.

You know, I watched that who fiasco with Imus, and have come to the following conclusions.....

Imus deserved to be fired from the television because his particular brand of humor was kinda inappropriate for daytime tv. However.....firing him from his job as a radio jock was wrong, because he'd been on the air for quite awhile before that time.

I'm glad that Imus was put back on the radio, and, eventually, if he can get his shit together a bit better, then he can go back on tv.

It was tasteless, just like some humor is.

Maybe she did it for shock value, and to get her name out there in the media. She's kinda been away from the radar for a long time, now her name will be splattered all over the place, but for her, it's not a good thing.

Crude humor doesn't amuse me, but I know other people like it.
