Chauvin’s lawyer seeks new trial, hearing to impeach verdict

If the media, BLM, Maxine Waters, and stupid self hating white people did not carry on the way they did he could have gotten a fair trial. He did not, and if the verdict is thrown out they only have themselves to blame.

He was NEVER going to get a fair trial, ever. It can not happen.

For over a year before the trial started not one person in this country hadn't heard of this case. Not a single person in this country didn't see the riots and spent a year hearing people scream constantly about racist cops, systemic racism, cops are murders, George Floyd was murdered, protestors, BLM running around everywhere, demands for justice, and so on. For over a year. Those jurors made up there mind a year before the trial even started.

That's your opinion and you know what those are like.

It's less opinion than it is common sense. Every juror knew that their safety and life could be in danger by a not-guilty verdict. Therefore the only jurors that would participate are those who were not going to vote for a not guilty verdict.

That's all it is, how many jury members were threatened? That is just your opinion because you want to see Chauvin walk.
So it's like the Bible it says one thing, but you translate it to mean something else.

No, it only says one thing:

Did you or anybody you know participate IN ANY of the demonstration or marches (against police brutality that took place in Minnesota) after George Floyd's death?

Against police brutality that took place in Minnesota. Not at a protest in Minnesota. WTF would the court care what rally they went to? They only care that they did indeed participate in gatherings supporting George Floyd.

The lawyer should have asked better questions or more specific questions, if you think your hero is going to walk on that the it truly says all it needs to about the US Justice System.

All of them were threatened Thugg Boi, so was the police dept. and the city government.

Come on Dumb Dudley prove it.

We already did, Thugg Bro. You shouldn't have dropped out of 6th grade remedial reading while you were in Juvie all those years.

It's not even an issue of right-wing vs left-wing or Democrat vs Republican

I'm afraid it is right vs left. The right in our country fully support our police and the left totally hate our police. The left always sides with evil and the right always sides with the good in any controversial situation.
What a load of bullshit.

You lot are gunning for the policeman who shot Ashli Babbit.

I must have missed the part where that was relevant to something. But then, I'm lacking in the leftist gene that circumvents rational thought.

No, no genetics involved. You're simply lacking in rational thought.

What passes for rightwing "rationality" these days: Chauvin (he is INNOCENT! despite violating training, caught on video, and a history of complaints and a guilty jury verdict...). Rightwing "rational thought" goes something like - well Floyd was a thug, he was committing a crime, he shouldn't have resisted...free pass for police.

Ashli Babbit - (she was murdered!) - all of a sudden, the fact that she was committing a crime, ignoring police and all of sudden - police bad!

Rational people would look at the Chauvin situation and say, guys, this is just not a good one to take a stand on. There are plenty of other instances, of police shootings where the police really acted appropriately in a fast moving or dangerous altercation and they shouldn't be faulted - take your support-the-blue stand on one of those. But no, you gotta support one of the bad apples. Maybe because the victim in this case is a less than perfect citizen. Or a black man. :dunno:

You hate black folks so much I was just trying to figure out why, I thought maybe some brutha popped your candy ass.

You hate black folks so much I was just trying to figure out why,

Well, I know the question wasn't addressed to me, but let me tell you what happened when my predominantly white community turned black:

We went from one murder ever 15 years or more years to 3 or more per year.
We went from a quiet community to a noisy community.
I had to cut my lawn today, and it took me an extra 15 minutes to clean all the garbage off my tree lawn; something I never had to do when it was all white.
Our number one school system in the county at one time is now under educational emergency, but we have a great football team.
Years ago we had a nationwide known mall. Because of thefts and robberies, half that mall is empty.
My doughnut shop turned into a check cashing place.
My hardware store turned into a Goodwill store.
My convenience store turned into a child care place.
My barber shop turned into a nail salon.
My movie theater turned into a Baptist church.
My property value is worth 40% less than when I bought it nearly 30 years ago.
Gunfire several times a week compared to when this was a white community where there never was any gunfire.
Our city had to stop 4th of July fireworks shows because you can't assemble any large groups of blacks without it turning into huge gang fights.
Our Catholic school that held a carnival/ casino week every year had to shut it down for the same reason.

lol you talking about the large rescue flotilla white people organized to save your ancestors from death and African slavery, provided you with food and shelter, made your people productive for the first time in their history? Yes, you should be nostalgic for that; all your whining is always about crying for Whitey to rescue you from yourselves. We know that's what it is all about because you frauds never leave and go back there, the few that did set themselves up as slave plantation owners themselves. lol tell us some more fake news stories about your past, dumbass.

No matter how many trial this fool has, the film will be evidence used against him. The fact hegot a trial after being caught on tape committing a crimes shows that he was provided with every fairness.

You and your feral homies can round up a bunch of pregnant women and hold pistol whipping contests every weekend there in 'Floyd Square', practice some of that 'African American culture' stuff you're so proud of.

Which means when the first 2 families moved in the white families started moving out, why are you still there if things are so bad. With that being said in Atlanta there are plenty of all black neighborhoods that are thriving are not crime filled, are not drug filled, etc. All comes to down to economics.

Actually what was shown was clearly that cops are taught to use their knees to hold down large violent criminals....in fact, this procedure happens all over the country every day----but unfortunately, violent criminals don't die from being held down by a cops knee despite the spin from a corrupt DA and their lying manipulative paid for witnesses. We could only wish it were so easy to kill off violent criminals.

No matter how many trial this fool has, the film will be evidence used against him. The fact hegot a trial after being caught on tape committing a crimes shows that he was provided with every fairness.
lmao what's hilarious is the fact that you actually believe the shite you type like you've convinced yourself.

he put his knee on the back/neck of a very large, very violent, very out of control criminal. Doing so didn't kill the criminal....

Guy didn't look that out of control to me. Especially during those nine minutes he was handcuffed and pinned to the ground.

Is reading a challenge for you or something? It didn't say marches or protests in Minnesota. It said Marches and protests for the police brutality in Minnesota.

The sentence read,

#7 Did you, or someone close to you, participate in any of the demonstrations or marches against police brutality that took place in Minneapolis after George Floyd’s death?”

They asked about demonstration in Minneapolis, not in Washington.

#12 “Other than what you have already described above, have you, or anyone close to you, participated in protests about police use of force or police brutality?”

Again- this was a celebration of Dr. King, not a protest against police brutality.

Mitchell was also very upfront that he had a favorable opinion of BLM when asked.

American police manage to kill 1000 suspects/civilians a year.
British Police only kill 2-5 a year.

Seems to me that it is too easy to kill people in America, and that's kind of the problem.

Ashli babbit trespassed-------and you think that some racist trump hating congressional cop has the right to sneak up behind the secret service guarding the door and shoot her without warning? You do realize that this supposed cop was such a loose canon-------that he wasn't even supposed to be in area and was assigned a paper duty (notice what he was holding in his hand) and not assigned to be guarding the door or shooting at those entering. That his murdering ass snuck up and shot and did not give warning because 1) he was hell bent on killing a trump supporter any trump supporter as per his own fb enteries and 2) because the other cops would have gone after his rogue ass.

Perhaps not overturn but certainly between this black activist and Waters, another activist who was shooting off her big mouth, is reason enough to declare a mistrial. Hopefully move the next one where no jurors will feel threatened.

Why? Frankly, until a juror comes out and says, "I thought he was innocent, but I was afraid Maxine would pop in my window and hurt me", there's really no reason to declare a mistrial.

Every juror who has come forward up to this point has said, "Yup, we thought he was guilty."

But if you want that standard, all you have to do is get a juror in ANY trial to express second thoughts, and then give everyone a new trial. I don't think you want that kind of chaos, really.

The shirt was in reference to Floyd. How would you like a white juror on a case of a black murder was found wearing a KKK hat at some gathering? Because after all, BLM is the black KKK.

Not really. The KKK doesn't want black people to have the same rights as white people. BLM wants black people to not be murdered by police.

I don't think they have much of a choice. The Sixth amendment guarantees a defendant the right to an impartial jury. The attire this clown was wearing proves he was in no way impartial. Furthermore in an interview after the ruling, he stated he was in hopes the way they ruled would change how police departments conduct themselves. In other words that was his goal in the way he voted.

The problem is, everyone had an opinion on this case going in, so you get what you get. If he had an opinion going in, which he was pretty straightfoward about, then it was up to the defense to change his mind.

Which is hard to do if you have videotape of him doing exactly what he is accused of doing.

No a Trump humper that has comprehension abilities. The question was not which rally they went to, the question was formed to find out if the juror is a Floyd humper and had a bias from the get go. That's the information that was concerning for the courts.

The question asked if they participated in demonstrations in Minneaopolis. He didn't.

Those jurors were not scared because they already had their minds made up on how they were going to vote before the case even started. That's the problem here. No impartial juror would agree to be part of that jury if there was a chance they might find the officer not guilty, or guilty of manslaughter where he might only get a year or two in jail.

So what you are saying is that all the racists were too scared to show up for jury duty?

Here's the reality.

Chauvin did exactly what he was accused of.
It was caught on tape.
It took less than 11 hours for a jury to reach a decision. It wasn't even close.

here's the problem. You put parenthesis that weren't in the sentence.

The actual sentence read.

“Did you, or someone close to you, participate in any of the demonstrations or marches against police brutality that took place in Minneapolis after George Floyd’s death?”

Now, let's simplify that sentence by removing the dependent clauses.

“Did you participate in any of the demonstrations that took place in Minneapolis after George Floyd’s death?”

Clearly, the sentence was about demonstrations in Minneapolis, not any demonstration anywhere.
