In a Republic, actually
As the Trump failures continue to pile up, his most recent failure, to denounce the Alt-Right, neo-Nazis, and white supremacists, is likely among his more damaging.

Indeed, twice now Trump has missed opportunities to condemn the violent tactics of the hateful right, returning again to his false comparison fallacy.

No, this has nothing to do with ‘both sides’ – only one side is the purveyor of violence and hate: the Alt-Right, neo-Nazis, and white supremacists.

You and I agree. He failed to curtail the hate and bigotry of the Antifa groups around the country. For the past six months, they have demonstrated time and again, their radical hatred and willingness to be violent and some day soon, they'll end up killing a number of people.

He should have gotten control of this group months ago.

if by failure, you mean disgusting normal people, then yes he's a failure.

but he's giving his "base" just what they voted for him to do.

turn the country into the third reich.

Yes, the nazis on this board, and those that marched in Charlottesville are trying to create the Fourth Reich. But the good citizens of Charlottesville showed them up for what they are. And, if they go through with their promises to march in other American cities, I hope they meet with the same kind of protest.

Let's define the Charlottsville failure, shall we?
The first failure in leadership was bowing to PC and destroying a monument to Robert E Lee. The second failure in leadership was ordering the Police to "Stand Down" to allow the Klan and counter protesters to directly engage. Hey what could go wrong?

And why does that phrase "Stand Down" have such a familiar ring? It always seems like bad things happen after that order.

GOP members of Congress criticize Trump's comments: 'We should never hesitate to call out hate'

Tweeting in response to Trump's off-the-cuff remarks, Republican Speaker of the House Paul Ryan of Wisconsin called white supremacy "repulsive."
"We must be clear. White supremacy is repulsive. This bigotry is counter to all this country stands for. There can be no moral ambiguity," he tweeted.
Ryan was one of a number of Republican leaders who took to the social media platform Tuesday evening to disagree with Trump's argument that those who protested against the neo-Nazi rally-goers shared some of the responsibility for spreading violence.
Arizona Republican Sen. Jeff Flake released a statement Tuesday evening on the President's latest comments regarding the events in Charlottesville.
"We cannot accept excuses for white supremacy and acts of domestic terrorism. We must condemn them. Period," the statement reads.
Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, criticized Trump on Twitter Tuesday night.
"There's no moral equivalency between racists & Americans standing up to defy hate& bigotry. The President of the United States should say so," McCain said in a tweet.
Sen. Todd Young, an Indiana Republican, tweeted, "This is simple: we must condemn and marginalize white supremacist groups, not encourage and embolden them."
Sen. Orrin Hatch, the longest currently serving Republican senator, wrote, "We should never hesitate to call out hate. Whenever and wherever we see it," in a tweet signed with his initials.
Speaking to CNN's Wolf Blitzer on "The Situation Room" Tuesday, GOP Rep. from Texas Will Hurd said that Trump should "apologize."
"Racism, bigotry, anti-Semitism of any form is unacceptable and the leaders of the free world should be unambiguous about that," he said.
Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a Florida Republican, said of the comments: "Just no."

Time for those that believe in America to stand up to the neo-nazis and all those that support them.

Charlottesville was another reminder of how violent the democrats are.

Everything was peaceful until they showed up.

He was the only one telling the truth dipshit.....

The antifa racist, socialists have been beating peaceful rally goers across the country for the last two years. They have violently attacked civilians and police, including a police horse, and started fires against private property and destroyed property .........they have a longer history of recent violence than the white national racist, socialists....

you are lying......you are hiding the truth....you are vile for doing it.....

The more that posters here support trump's milquetoast comments about the Alt-Right in Charlottesville, the more it becomes evident that they agree with David Duke and that they ARE trump's true base.

Actually it was a success thanks to those leftist loons Trump is guaranteed reelection in 2020 and the democrats are going to get their asses kicked in 2018

Wait...the Robert E. Lee monument has been destroyed? When did that happen? And if it hasn't happened, why are you lying? And if you are lying, why should we take you seriously in anything else you say on this issue?
