CERN Large Hadron Collider Fires Up Tomorrow

The Ether definitely transports light energy, as it does all energy, in wave form. Why does that notion trouble you? Does a guitar string vibrating also suggest a snake to you? The energy still does travel in a straight line until disturbed by something in or along its path such as, indeed, gravity. "Waves" is a confusing description. Cyclical would be a better way of describing it. In any case, it's how Mother Nature (the Ether) prefers doing it. Coaxially,.. or hyperboloidic to coin a new term.
When Physics Becomes an Amusement Park for Escapist Nerds, It Requires a Roller Coaster

Photons are energy. They are passed along in the sense of a relay. How did the Quantum Quacks come up with the idea of a wave? I don't understand the picture they are drawing. A wave in water does go up and down, high enough to surf on.

There's nothing "particle" about the Ether and no space could exist without it. Why do you suppose Schrodinger's Cat never has to endure the abuse of being called "a particle"?

Both space and counterspace are products of the Ether. Space free of mass is as empty as empty ever gets. No theoretical vacuum could suck the Ether out of anything. It's ubiquitous. Mother Nature doesn't play such games.
Nazi Heisenberg's Willy-Nilly Theory

Mother Nature does not play dice. There is no randomness. Uncertainty indicates a lack of understanding. These pseudo-scientists should look for outside factors that would explain the apparent randomness. No intelligent minds would be satisfied with their irrational answers.

Why you keep bringing up randomness beats me, but Einstein has few friends remaining on that score. Probability rules everything. Air is blown up through a bucket of ping pong balls to mix them so that one may be selected "at random" for a monthly lottery. In other words, Nature provides us a very practical and reliable means of generating a random product.

How did the Quantum Quacks come up with the idea of a wave?
They were actually far from first to think about and discuss waves, but they do love to claim credit for discovering and inventing just about everything under the Sun.. so there's that. As Wikipedia says:
Wave–particle duality is the concept in quantum mechanics that every particle or quantum entity may be described as either a particle or a wave. It expresses the inability of the classical concepts "particle" or "wave" to fully describe the behaviour of quantum-scale objects.
See, both waves and particles are labeled "classical concepts." You can tell a stodgy Brit wrote that from the spelling of "behaviour." Isn't that whole paragraph rich though? Given "every particle or quantum entity may be described as either a particle or a wave" then we need to parse that. Thank goodness we've been granted permission to describe "every particle" as "a particle" by the QM Masters of the Universe! However, what the difference may be between a "particle" and a "quantum entity" remains unclear. Likewise between a "quantum entity" and a "wave." But fear not, all may now be described as each other which now renders us able to "fully describe" them all alternatively as "objects." Or their "behaviour" or something..? Anyways, now we're cooking with gas!
