Gun policy can be both pro and anti gun, so that’s moot. Same with abortion.

That leaves Democrats focusing on everything except what’s important to the voters.

Democrats have officially become a cult. Everything they strongly believe in are basically used as distractions from the fact that they have no solutions for anything. So far, everything they have done has severely undermined the working man and our middle class.
Everyone is hurting economically. Everyone

That means everyone is really pissed right now with who is in power. However, the bright spot for democrats is that the vast majority of women who seek an abortion do so for economic reasons. This means that they may get votes so that women can kill their unborn babies to help their bottom line, so they can afford that nicer car or house or even tank of gas.

Women who want their babies dead vote Democrat anyway.

The J6 witch hunts have backfired on the Dems.

Now everyone can see what a bunch of scumbags they are, and people don't like it.

They see the Dems spending taxpayer money on this stuff, and that might be okay if you're a Hollywood celebrity (of which there are very few), but it's not at all okay if you're the average American struggling to make ends meet.

And then on top of that we hear the Democratic leadership encouraging public unrest and breaking the law.

And then on top of that we see leftist DA's letting violent rioters go without so much as a slap on the wrist.

We notice all this. Really, we do.

Parents all across the country are very, very concerned. Including the rich parents in San Francisco that just kicked Boudin out in his ass, and the poor black families north of Philadelphia that I've personally spoken with who are doing the exact same thing to THEIR leftist DA.

To be fair, this poll was done before Roe. I suspect Abortion will climb the list and might overtake immigration, gun policy, and maybe even crime. This could well be temporary though, and MOST likely to happen among voters who were likely to vote blue in the first place. It will drive more blue voters to the polls, for sure.

Yeah, but in reality, overturning Roe didn't do anything but change the procedure to get an abortion. Everyone who wants an abortion will still get an abortion. All the shouting is just a political ploy to distract people from noticing that Democrats have become anti worker, anti civil rights, anti law and order, anti constitution, anti middle class and totally devoid of any solutions for any of our real problems.

Yes, but abortion is not an issue like crime or inflation, something like 80% oppose abortions after 1st trimester

Should fire up the pro-life vote too. A lot of them have been demoralized for a long time. But now?

They will overreact. So far, the overreaction did not spill over into widespread, violent protests like George Floyd. But the meltdowns even by elected officials are way over the top, and by some everyday loons are....defcon 1 level insane.

They will keep this up and the meltdowns will escalate because, as you say, they have nothing else. So in the end, I expect Roe to be a wash by Election Day. No advantage either side, due to the fact the Lefties once again revealed how unhinged they are.

This is why it would be smart for Republicans to say they would pass a bill restricting abortion to 15 weeks or something. You and I oppose even that--but it's appealing to most Americans, and it paints liberals into the corner of going to the mat for late term abortions.

OK, so, not true. Biden has repeatedly said his top priority is inflation. Realistically, there's very little he can do about it, or has done to cause it despite Repub's smart (politically motivated) efforts to pin the blame on him. The economy has been doing very well which has caused inflationary pressure. Especially in the area of wage growth due to low unemployment. As for crime, Repubs have once again put the blame on Dems without showing a causal effect between policy and crime rising. They've done so by completely misrepresenting the mainstream position of Dems on funding police, and by conflating the nuanced, dubious efforts in some cities (SF) on decriminalizing minor crime with party policy.

Why is gun violence rising right now?
First, violence in the U.S. has been persistent for years so we’re coming from a very high baseline. Second, COVID-19 has presented major challenges, but it’s important to note that violence, especially gun violence, actually started increasing nationally in 2014. In addition, violence has not increased in most other high-income countries during the pandemic. So it’s not only the pandemic, but our politics, that presents a massive challenge.

American politics is hyperpolarized, and the criminal justice arena is no exception. The public is consistently presented with a false choice between absolutes: it’s all about tough policing and prosecution, or it’s the police and prosecutors who are the problem. It’s #BlackLivesMatter versus #BlueLivesMatter. A few leaders push back on this frame, but this either/or construct is the dominant criminal justice conversation in the country. This us versus them dynamic is profoundly destructive to sound anti-violence efforts because everything we know about violence reduction tells us that we need law enforcement, but we need community and other partners as well. And most importantly, we know that a single approach won’t work—we need everybody to work together. Unfortunately, the current conversation makes such partnerships nearly impossible.

Obviously, gun policy has been a Dem focus for decades. Attempts to curb gun violence having been blocked by Repubs who, once again, have used a misrepresentation of policy. In this case, enhanced gun control measures to stoke fear of "they're coming for your guns."

You mean the transitory inflation Brandon kept telling us to not worry about?

Dems are so concerned about violence they recently released over a hundred thousand violent felons from prison early.

BTW - Brandon says he can’t do anything about the high inflation.

It really just boils down to one simple question . Are you an American or are you a Democrat?

I agree with having 1,2,3,5, and that's it. Everything else on that list doesn't mean shit to me till those are under control.

Those 5 are of equal importance because they all feed into each other directly and indirectly.

Except crime. That's it's own thing and it's the easiest to fix. Can fix it by blaming criminals for their own actions and by treating criminals like actual criminals. But gun policies aren't needed if you start cracking heads of criminals because thugs, gang bangers, inner-city wanna be hip hop gangsters cause the majority of gun crime in the whole country.

Far as the others go I don't even give a squirt of piss about Jan 6, climate change, COVID and Russia.
