He apparently forgot that, as a white, male, heterosexual patriot, he's not entitled to express such sentiments on his employer's dime. Now, had he been a Muslim criticizing white Canadians, he'd be nominated for an award and his employer wouldn't dream of reprimanding him.

"The least you could pay is a couple of bucks for a poppy or something like that. These guys pay for your way of life that you enjoy in Canada. These guys pay the biggest price.”
